| viewing the launch 7-11-09 We have seen plenty of launches from the west coast (where we live) but we actually decided to drive over to the east coast to watch the launch tomorrow. This will be our first time watching it from Cocco Beach. Has anyone watched it from this area before and have any idea where the best viewing is? It isn't looking that great weather wise that it will happen but crossing my fingers we will get lucky.  Thank you for any advice you have! I'm hopeing to make this a special event for my son.

| The Launch has been Scrubbed for today! They are hoping for a 7:13pm launch tomorrow July 12, 2009. I have heard that Jetty park is a good location to watch it from but fills quickly. Good Luck.

| Yeah, we were pretty bummed we missed the launch. We will be watching it from the comfort of our home like most other people.  We couldn't stay to watch it from there tonight but I told my son we would try to catch the August 30th launch. While we were on the beach we saw the Magic go by: I for one, was completely jealous. hehe.  Thank you everyone for your help!!

| OK, the sight of the Magic ALMOST makes up for not seeing the launch!  It was scrubbed for tonight, too, due to thunderstorms. Maybe tomorrow!

| Oh, went to the site and next launch in Aug, is Aug 12, and we'll be in Key West. Way to far away to be able to see anything!!

| We are going to skip the August launch and try the Novemeber 12th one. We'll see how it goes. It is just crazy how high up the hotels raise their rates! One hotel raises their price 3 x the normal amount AND requires a 2 night stay. It wouldnt be so bad if it were a decent hotel but the reviews were all pretty negative.  However, they are the closest hotel out of all of them. We will probably end up staying at the Raddison which still has regular rates and isn't that far away. Here is crossing our fingers it works out this time!!
