| How long to allow for the Everglades? Here it is, folks -- the latest installment in my series of Everglades questions: How long should we allow for a visit to the park? Is a day and a half enough? Are two and a half days too many? I know a lot of people do the Everglades as a day trip from Ft Myers, but how much do you "do" that way? We will be landing at Ft. Myers airport on a Wednesday morning. After we pick up the rental car and lunch we'll be off toward Shark Valley. We want to do the tram tour. And drive into the park from the east side to see more than just the northern visitors center. I guess you could describe us as folks who like to "look at nature, but not be out in it." I don't see us canoeing or hiking. But put us in a museum or historic site and we're there twice as long as the AAA guidebooks recommend. And DD is 9, and will be doing the Junior Ranger activities. She's missing school, so this serves as science class! What it comes down to is that we need to meet friends in Orlando on Saturday night. We want to do the glass bottom boat at Biscayne, too. Originally we were going to do Biscayne on Sat morning then drive north. Now we're wondering if we could do Biscayne on Friday, and head to Kennedy Space Center for Saturday.

| We went to Shark Valley from Ft. Lauderdale, and on the same road passed another place that had the air boat rides. We did air boat rides another trip, but can't remember where

| I'd leave plenty of time and make sure I bring plenty of water to stay hydrated if it is hot! Nature just can't be rushed!
