Key Largo here we come

Back in March when my oldest daughter called and said that they had just put a bid in on their first house outside of West Palm Beach, we bought tickets to fly down Memorial Day weekend for 5 days to visit. But then the responsible adult in me said "the house really needs to be painted and we really need a new front door" so we decided that we would cancel our tickets and use them for our trip to Disney in December.

Well, I never cancelled the tickets and my daughter called on Monday saying that after much painting etc that they were finally spending the 1st night in their new home and couldn't wait to see us. When I told her we weren't coming she started to cry but said she understood.

So now even with the responsible adult nagging at me, we've decided that were going to go. DH & I haven't been alone for a year and I'm starting to burn out at work so we figure what the heck!!

So we're going to spend a couple of days with the kids then head down to Key Largo for 3 sun filled days of doing who knows what and basking in just being the alone together.

So my question is, has anyone ever been to Key Largo and can you suggest any romantic places to stay. We love the water so Ocean front would be great.

The only other burning question is how do I loose the 10 pounds I put on over the winter in 16 days?

We loved Key Largo. I can't recommend any hotels there, as we stayed in Marathon, but I'm sure anywhere you pick will be romantic. It's just a romantic place to be, period. I'm sure you'll have a blast.

We stayed at the Sheraton Key Largo a few years ago www.keylargoresort.com It was very romantic and we had a seaview so everymorning it was just beautiful sitting out on the balcony with a cup of coffee. The hotel has it's own small private beach too. We loved it
