| Kennedy Space Center Ok, I am a huge NASA buff and would like to visit KSC. We could rent a car and drive there, but are there any other ways to get to KSC? Also, what do you recommend at KSC. |

| Re: Kennedy Space Center Hey! When it comes to the Kennedy Space Center, I know certain hotels outside of disney provide shuttle service to Cocoa Beach. However, it would be far easier to rent a car, and just drive the hour and 15 minutes yourselves. Once you ge there, definitely get the Maximum Access tickets. We took a bus tour, which only comes with the Maxiumum Access options, and that's where all the good stuff was. First we were brought to see the launching pads (we saw the Discovery a week before it was launched). Then we were brought to another area where we saw IMax films and replicas of different shuttles. We also were brought to an area where we saw recreations of different launches and a bunch of different shows. I love everything about Space, but I have to admit the KSC wasn't my favorite. However, it's defintelt worth seeing! With the Maximum Access admission you also get to go to the Astronaut Hall of Fame. There are a few simulators and interactive exhibits, but most of them are for kids. It's fun to spend an hour or so, though. |
