| Re: Kennedy Space Center I was there about 10 years ago and it was really interesting. I would definately go back when my kids are a little older (1 and 5 now) so that they would understand and appreciate it. From what I've heard the place has gotten even larger since I was there. |

| Re: Kennedy Space Center I haven't been in quite some time . . . I went once in 1996, a couple of times in 1997, once in 1998, and once in 1999, but not since. If we move back to Jacksonville, we'll probably go down there a few times! I am a big aviation and space "nerd", so I really enjoy it there!!! |

| Re: Kennedy Space Center We did this once together in 1999 and DH went back a couple of years and did the tour, he enjoyed it so much. For some reason, although the things we saw were amazing, it just didn’t have the “wow” factor for me (I’m odd, I know! ) which is why I didn’t go again, but he loves it out there. I know very few people who’ve had the reaction I had, so I’d say it’s worth a visit. |

| Re: Kennedy Space Center We went this past Summer, and it was nice but I just didn't find it to be anything that special. I love all things space-related so I was really excited, but I just didn't like it hat much. It's definitely worth seeing at least once, though. |

| Re: Kennedy Space Center We went in 2004 and my teenagers loved it. They were really wowed by it all. I must say seeing the space shuttle up close is really impressive. We plan on going to Vero Beach this summer, so we plan on going to Kennedy again. |

| Re: Kennedy Space Center We went this spring on our way to Disney. We didn't do the tour though. We had only one day to be there, and DH really wanted to do lunch with an astronaut. You could easily spend two days there, there's so much to do. There's IMAX movies, a fun interactive show, the Rocket Garden, and the museum type stuff to see. For anyone who hasn't been since they were a kid - you won't believe how much they added to it! There are astronaut meet and greets throughout the day, but we really enjoyed the lunch. Our astronaut was a shutttle mission pilot in the early 80s. We had a full room, but he made his talk seem very personal, and very much targeted at the kids (ours are 10 and 7). Really good message about how hard everyone in the space program works, and the importance of education. The question and answer period was really cute. We stopped off at the Astronaut Hall of Fame before we left. I hope to get back there and do the full tour next time. |

| We'll be going there for the first time in April. I'm really excited! I'll check the website for more information on what there is to do - just like I do with Disney

| I am thinking of going in Aug. and over night it before we arrive at WDW. Are there different tours you can take? If so which one is the best, I have a 17 & 21 yrs daughters going. Also, can anyone recommend a hotel? there seem to be so many on travelocity, etc.

| We are staying at the Radisson at Port Canaveral the night before our cruise. We stayed there before and it was very nice, plus they have AAA deals available. They have a great pool. an onsite restaurant and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I have also heard good things about the Residence Inn (I believe that is a Marriot hotel!) but cannot speak from personal experience.
