I can't wait for retirement (hopefully within the next year) because I have baskets and bags full of stuff for scapebooking. I, like Carol, do not (or she did not until recently) go to the extremes with embellishments. However, I am itching to get going on these projects. I have both Hobby Lobby and Michaels near me but I don't go to them very often. There is an Archivers near my DD (Gurnee Mills) and we sometimes stop there.
The day after Thanksgiving last year we scored a Cricut! It was DD's Christmas gift from DH and I. They had them on sale at Michael's for $179.00 and we got 40% off all purchases so it was amazingly cheap. I think it was a mistake but who am I to complain? DD is a 2nd grade teacher and is envied by her co-workers for what she can do for bulletin boards, etc. I hope to take some time off this summer and just spend time with her doing scaping! I may have to come back to you guys with some questions, so get ready!!
I perfectly understand about retirement not coming soon enough (I have about 5 years left). I find myself planning scrapbooking projects around school breaks. I have one to finish and another to at least start over Spring Break.
