I took a look at the classes and am not sure about what to sign up for right now. Has anyone else had a chance to look for interesting classes? Sara

FYI - I just went on to register for the convention and they are already sold out for the Friday night crop. Looks like they didn't have as many seats as in the past. They opened up Thursday night (it shows 119 seat available) but I won't be able to attend that. Very poor planning on their part if only have like 150 seats when we filled up so much room in previous years.

ETA - Just contacted Midwest and the crop only holds 125 people and they will not be opening up anymore room on Friday night. I am pretty sure last year the crop party was open to 300 or 350. Very, very poor planning.

yep, that takes me out of needing an overnite room as well. If all of the PP scrappers and friends want to get together and crop I can probably come up with a place, for us to crop-no charge. Just an idea, think about it. Sara

I got Dawn, Kristen (my friend who was with me last year for those that remember) and I into the crop. They are working on getting more seats and spaces open.

Here are the classes Kristen and I are taking:

Friday - Creative Cards 8:30-9:30
Wild West Crop Party 6:00-11:00

Saturday - Flower Power 8:30-9:30
It's All in the Details 1:00-2:30

I think Dawn is taking the same classes on Saturday. Kristen and I are staying at the Fairfield Inn next door to the Marriott. Does anyone know what restaurants are nearby? Just trying to plan and I have no idea what is in the area.

ETA - I just checked and they opened up more seats! Act fast Sara!

I PM'd Sara too. The website still shows 33 seats available so hopefully she will get a seat. Let us know Sara!

Woo HOO, I am registered for the Crop Party, and one class with Quick Quotes Girls. Hopefully we can compare ideas at some time. When I registered for the Friday nite crop party, there were 20 seats left, so register QUICK if you want to crop with us on Friday nite!

As far as restaurants around that area, I don't remember anything other than fast food that is close by.

One FYI for everyone, I am not sure of the I-70 construction and it's impact on the exit for Shadeland Avenue which is where the hotel is located. Earlier this spring I attended a conference near that area and the exit was ok, since then I have heard the exit was closed. By September the exit could be open again and there won't be any detours. If I hear of anything I will post the info here. Sara

Sue and I did some research and here a few resturants near the Convention other then the Hotal ones.

Damon's Grill (Steak and ribs )
6990 E 21st St, Indianapolis, IN (0.22 miles away)

Four Seasons (Italian)
1935 N Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN (0.26 miles away)

There is also Burger King, Arby's, Subway, and a few others.

Damon's Grill looked like it was comparable to Friday's.

The room rate for those attending has a block which will be lifted on August 15th. If you might spend the nite because you have an early class, after a late wild west crop! make your reservations asap. I am considering the La Quinta (next door hotel) as a possibility. S

Ok so the Flower Power and the It's all in the Details classes were canceled. Sue and I tried to get into another class but it was full. In fact any of the other classes we would want to take were full. Now we have a full day of What ever. No plans at all. I guess we will just shop. So do we want to get together for dinner before the crop Firday night?
