I would like you to make a Heritage page that will go with what ever book you are doing. In other words this will be your interpretation of a Heritage page. Have fun.

okay, I think I can manage this one ....I actually had a page for last month, but kept procrastinating getting a picture taken of it.....

I'm going to try and get a photo in this time. Like Carol, I had a layout all ready for Aug and just plain forgot to post it.

OK, folks! I want to participate in this but I have no idea how to post the picture of my page. Can anyone walk me thru it very slowly and plainly? Have never done this before! Thanks in advance for any help. Bigred

Welcome! This is the easiest way that I have found to post photos. Hopefully it will be easy for you as well.

1.) Take a photo of your page (preferably with a digital camera.)
2.) Upload your photos from your camera to your computer.
3.) Upload your photos from your computer to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket (If you don't have an account with them, you can sign up for free. There are other photo sites you can use, but photobucket has been the easiest for me to use. )
4.) Once your photo or photos are uploaded, you will see them on the page with different links listed below each photo. Copy the second link which says "Direct Link."
5.) Then go ahead and click "Post Reply" on this thread. Once there, you can respond as usual. When you get to the spot where you want to put your photo, click on the icon above the text box which looks like it has a mountain on it. You may get a pop-up asking for permission to allow scripted texts or something like that. Click the bar to continue. Then click on the mountain or photo icon again. A box will pop up with a line to paste your link. First delete the "//http." that is already in the box. Otherwise it will appear twice and screw up the link. Then paste your link into the box and press "Ok." Your picture should then show up in the body of your reply.

Thanks stretch2864 but you are talking to a computer idiot here. I'm great with research on the internet but what the heck is "copy the second link"? And then step five lost me at the bridge! I am going to write this all down and then try (and I emphasize the word TRY) to follow it word for word and pray my husband can help me if I get stuck. Otherwise, I'll be back screaming for help! But thanks for all your good intentions and help for poor old me. Bigred

Marianne~sorry if I lost you. It really isn't as scary as it sounds. "Copy the second link" refers to clicking on the URL listed second. I think Photobucket automatically copies it for you if you click on that line. If not, then highlight the URL listed second and then rightclick to bring up the option to copy what you just highlighted. Then when you go to paste it on your reply, you just have to right click and the option to paste will show up. Click on "paste" and the URL that you just copied will show up on that line in the box. Step 5 might sound scary as well, but Jennifer and Dave have actually made posting photos within the post much easier than it used to be. Give it a whirl, and if you are still confused, post your questions and we will try to walk you through it. Good luck!

OK, questions here! When do we post our pages? When they are done or on a particular day (like the last day of the month) or the first of October? What is the rule or guideline for this? Any help would be appreciated for a first time participant. Bigred
