How do you store and/or transport your cartridges and machine?
The boxes for the cartridges are nice, but they could be half that size. And I don't have that much bookshelf space in my sewing/scrapping room. Do you keep the cartridges in the boxes or is there a better way?
I see that there's a little grey tote bag, but it doesn't look like it has space for cartridge boxes.
Has anyone found something that works well -- even if Cricut isn't its intended use?
Right now I am still useing the box to transport mine. I have the Expressions. travelinsara found a plastic tool box that the machine will fit in but not the cartridges. I have been meaning to measuer it and look for a metal one may be big enough for the cartridges too. My cartridges are still in thier origanal boxes.
I have the Cricut rolling tote (I have the smaller bug). It is nice for transporting the machine but as I am getting more and more cartridges, I am running out of room for carrying them all. I have seen people at crops using a pencil case for each cartridge with the book, keypad and cartridge inside so they don't have to bring each box. I might have to try that.
I too have the smaller bug and use the Cricut rolling tote. I keep my cartridges in the original boxes and just pick and choose which ones I will bring to crops and what not.
For those who have the rolling tote, a great investment is the Cricut Jukebox. You can store 6 cartridges, their books and mats in each one. Two jukeboxes store easily side-by-side in the tote, and you'll still have room to spare (I also pull out the foreign language instructions in each book as I only need the English sections which makes an easier fit in the base of the Jukebox).
I also found that if you purchase those blue or peach colored storage boxes, you take out one of the plastic inserts, and then you'll be able to store 4 cartridges, the books and mats easily in one box. That's 3 less boxes than you were carrying to begin with.

I got the Jukebox as part of a recent Cricut deal and I love it but found it hard to store all the books and overlays in it while still having room to flip through them. Great suggestion about taking the foreign language sections out. I'm definitely going to have to do that, it will make the books quite a bit thinner.

I have one of these boxes. It holds 8 catridges & mats. I love this idea to take out one of the inserts as I haven't been able to figure out what to do with the books!
I've got all my cartridges, books, and keyboard layouts in 2 snapware Ribbon holders (they snaptogether to make one tall unit). And a gal on the Cricut board has directions on how to create dividers for the carts so they stand up nice and neat in the top of one of the small parts of this box. Check this out: Thank You for this storage idea...
