| Cruise Scrapbooking kits on Cd/dvd Does Disney offer on the cruises a cd/dvd of scrapbooking items or kits. I do Digital & would buy a cd, but just hate buying paper kits & after I scan them, they just sit there. Guess once I scanned I could always sell on Ebay or something. Do the reg paper kits change from year to year? |

| The switch to DIGITAL I was an AVID traditional paper scrapper! I started a scrapbook club at the high school I taught at, worked at my friend's scrapbook store on weekends and in the summers and consequently own a small store of supplies! I had been dabbling in digital when it first started coming out but was discouraged by the pixelated images and waited until technology caught up with my high expectations. Now it is incredible and I can do more digitally than with paper AND in the long run it is WAY less expensive for me to complete an album. I create photobooks which do not take up as much room on my shelves, are not heavy for my 4 year old daughter to look at, and are so much easier to pack with me for the ladies scrapping group at church I run and for classes I've taught. Once you have the digital kits you can reuse them over and over unlike paper supplies and stickers. You can recolor anything to match colors in your photos so the one kit can be used multiple times and there are SO MANY digital freebies now! You don't have to buy an expensive program either. You can scrap 12 x 12 (or any size) pages in Microsoft Publisher and even Powerpoint. You can get freebies online and try arranging a page for free! Nothing beats being able to take my laptop to a coffee shop and scrap!!! No leftover scraps, no mistakes I can't "undo", no clean up, and no garbage! I can even scrap in the car on roadtrips!!! NICE! How would you like to have your vacation scrapped BEFORE you get back???? LOL! It's definitely worth taking a look at....it's VERY easy to learn! BTW...I wholeheartedly agree with the blurb about Britt-ish Designs!!! Her layouts are incredible using her own designs that she sells. She has a ton of freebies on her blog and leaves her links up! She is a sweetheart gal and I love participating in her Show Off challenge on her blog which will earn you MORE freebies! She does have Disney items for free and it IS okay to give them away, she just can't sell them. She is going to WDW for the first time soon and I can't wait for her to get back full of new inspiration!! She is the biggest Disney fan I know! Here is another site with Disney freebies: Seebee's Freebies Blogspot

| I'm so glad I've found this thread as I've discovered my 1st attempt at a Scrapbook for DS that I'm quite Scrapbooking challenged. Digital Scrapbooking might be more up my alley. I've used Smilebox, but it's more for greeting cards with photos. Does anyone have any recommendations of relatively inexpensive Digital Scrapbooking software or programs that are easy to use? Thanks to all!

there are plenty but these are my favorites Here is some links to program reviews: Digital Scrapbooking Software Review 2009 - TopTenREVIEWS What to Look for in Digital Scrapbooking Software Here is the link to the video:Review of MemoryMixer 2009 - TopTenREVIEWS I Love memory Mixer and Photoshop Elements with memory mixer when you are finished you can add music, movie clips and burn them in a DvD and watch them as a show, mail to family, post it in the internet and send them a link I love that for practicality, distribution and fun. another thing I look for in Digital scrapbooking programs is the ability to design and choose my own colors so that i can match them to the theme. that is very important to me specially when I do Disney Scrapbooks. check my other thread, also do a google search on Digital Scrapbooking and tons of sites will comeup, check my other thred OMG! I LOVE my Memory Mixer Digital Scrapbooking Program!!

| kelsey- ITA with everything you said! I have been snagging Seebie's Disney stuff for a while now, waiting for the time that my family can get back there. There are so many great tutorials and websites to help you get started with digi-scrapping. Once you get the hang of it, it is hard to go back to paper- I love the Undo Command LOL I scrap with ACDSee Photo Editor. I also use CS2 but I find it to be "too much" program. Photo Editor is like PS Elements, but IMHO- easier, aw well as way less expensive. You can scrap some really cool pages with it, and I have done a little bit of designing with it too. HTH! |
