Nala, I love the color combination in your mini book - very striking, and girly!
Karen, you were well prepared to bring tags with you for the character autographs - I like how they give your album an interactive aspect. Something I've never tried.
Michelle, I think your handwriting is nice! Of course, none of us seem to like our handwriting, but I do think it's important to use it in our books. Love the beach stickers, they seem like they have some dimension to them.
Lynda - thanks! Some are stickers and some are chipboard - the flowers/starfish shaped ones are chipboard. That's what gives it the dimensional look. You probably can't tell but I chalked around some of them in beige, blue, and pink. I'm thinking about chalking the Myrtle Beach letters in beige because they look too white to me.
Michelle - I like your Myrtle Beach pages! Next to Disney, that is my favorite vacation spot! I like your handwritten tags and your flower embellishments! The font for your title is cool too!

Thanks Karen - the MB letters are from a punch out pack I bought at Wal-mart - I've gotten so much use out of them.
I swear I thought I posted earlier about your DD page, but I can't find it. I have the same green holly paper you used. Did you use real metallic gold paper to back your photos, or is it just a goldish yellow?
Michelle - I used metallic gold paper on the Donald page. I got it at Michael's - they sell 8x10 single sheets. I bought the gold and some silver to use when I do DD's wedding book later this year. I can't remember where the holly paper came from but it worked really good for that page. I have some red paper that is similar that I hope to use in this book as well.

Here's another entry for the March challenge. I made this frame as a baby gift for my stepbrother's darling new baby. They can add their favorite 5x7 photo of the little sweetheart. I used tags for the baby's name and 2 smaller tags to record her birth date and weight and length.

Karen, that's such a cute idea for a baby gift! Very original!
I'm going to look for that gold paper. I have the red paper in the same pattern. I bet it came from Hobby Lobby, don't you shop there too?
Nala, I wish my pages could turn out as beautiful as yours, but I just don't have it in me! I'm wondering, do you scrap all your photos, or do you just scrap selected ones and put the rest in photo albums?

Thanks Shell. As far as scrapping all my pictures, no way! And the ones I don't use never make it to a photo album, but end up in a box, or on a disk.
And I swear I thought I posted about your page. I love the colors you used. It looks so summery. What are those flowers on the tags? They look like they are puffy and I really like them. Great job.
Karen, beautiful job on the framed layout! I love the soft colors, the buttons, ribbon and the little baby beads. That is a great touch.
While looking through some baby pictures of Kiara for a class project, I ran across a priceless one that I thought was lost and had to scrap it.
Here's a little information about this photo. Kiara was very difficult to potty train. Besides her developmental delay, we also had to deal with her obsession with water. The combo of the two made for some pretty interesting and trying moments in parenting. And one of them was this:
OMG! Imagine my shock when she headed to the bathroom, was quiet for way too long and when I decided to check on her I found this! I do take great shame over the fact that I took the time to take a photo of her rather than pull her out of the toilet. Not my most proud moment of motherhood, but in my defense, the camera was only steps away and this Kodak moment was too priceless not to capture. Thankfully, Kiara never did this again!
I did the journaling in my hand, which I don't do often because it is horrible, and it talks about the challenges of potty training a water obsessed child and getting her to sit ON the potty and not IN it!
Nala - great story and one you both will always laugh about! You always know they're up to something when they're quiet for a long time! I love that you grabbed the camera before the moment was lost!

Nala: Loved both of your pages! I the colors in the BBB book and it fits perfectly (That's when Kiara was Tink, right?) What a hilarious story on the second page and I would have grabbed the camera first too! Love it!
Kim: Your pages are great and I love all the detail you put into from the papers, embellishments and titles. The framed page is beautiful and what a great gift!
Michelle: I love the colors in your pages and layouts. I have those letters from Wally World as well and used them a lot in my pages. I don't like my handwriting either but make sure to use it anyways on at least half of my pages. It gives it such a personal feel.
Nala, that's the funniest thing! Don't feel bad, my mom has a picture of me asleep on the little potty. She said she told me I couldn't get up until I was finished, and she went to check on me and I was asleep. In fact, she doesn't have one picture, she has several! You know, parents were a lot stricter back then! But it's a cute little page!
