Michelle & Dawn I love your pages! also love the colors you all chose to show off your photos.

Michelle, the writing is a KNK (Klic-n-Kut) file that I purchased on paperthreads.com. I've kind of packed up the WB since getting this cutter machine. I don't want to get rid of it due to all the WB files that I had accumulated

For you all that like the pumpkin, it is easy to make. It's just circles that I cut out using the Creative Memories templates on orange card stock paper and black for the matting. The photo & matting were also cut using the CM templates. Then the whole thing was outlined with a marker using tiny stitch markings. The stem was free hand cutting to fit between the ears out of a printed scrap paper. Then all was glued together

Debe, I love the way you used the Mickey paper for your background and used the Halloween embellishments on top - love the pumpkin, that's a great way to use the CM circle cutter! I've never heard of a Klik-N-Cut, but I can sure see why you like it so much.

Michelle, great Mothers Day layout - I like the simplicity of the black and white, and also how you used the flower stamp from one of your presents in the journaling box.

Dawn, loved how you listed your favorite things and I love the background paper. Great colors!

So the Klic-n-Kut is a cutter machine similar to a cricut? I've heard you and Michelle discuss the Wishblade, but I've never seen them for sale anywhere so I don't know much about any cutter except the cricut.

Uh huh - you say it was easy, but it still looks like a lot of work to me! Beautiful results though!

BTW - Debe - I love your new sig pic - he is so cute!! Is that Ernie?

Michelle - I like your page - I'm partial to black and white. Good job for doing a whole page on you!

Dawn - I love the colors and the lettering in your page. I never remember to use different fonts on my page, but it always looks good on other pages. I saw a page similar to yours, except it was a child's page. The mother asked her DD to write down her favorite things, and she posted that on the page with her picture and age. I thought that was such a neat idea to be able to look back and see what her favorites were back then!

Michelle, yes the machines are similar but both the Klic-N-Kut & Wishblade machines work off the computer not cartridges. You can pull free files off the net or purchase them from many different sites or create your own. There are other cutter machines out there like these such as Pazzles, Silhouette, etc... and am sure that as time passes, there will be more.

I started off with the Wishblade but wanted a faster cutter and one that would cut chipboard as well as other heavy materials. I have the Element but would like to upgrade to a unit that cuts at least 12" or wider... some day! Neat machines! Here are a couple of links you can look at if you wish:

Machine Comparison Chart

YouTube-Klic-N-Kut Demo (this is the machine I have)

YouTube- Craft Robo Demo (basically the same machine as the Wishblade)

I forgot to add... Yes, this is Ernie with his "What do you mean?" look. He's so bad! but cute!
This morning he has helped me make cupcakes for our niece's b'day party & am sure he is going to
want to help out with the icing later on today. He watches every move made in the kitchen and prays
something drops...LOL. Right now I have both him and Maggie at my side love my fir kids!!!

Very interesting! I watched the you tube demo. I've got a friend at work who is thinking about buying a WB but I'll have to tell her about KNK. I think she wants to cut heavier things, too.

I did my "self" page about the fact that I am always the one behind the camera.

For Kiara's sake, I also added some things about me I would want her to know about her Mother. Those things include that I am madly in love with her father and that I am blessed to have her for a daughter.

Nala, that is a beautiful page - I love the title and the softness of the picture really captures the sentiment behind it. What is the embellishment bordering your portrait?

I love the page! I like how you put the blue rhinestones only along 2 sides. I wouldn't have thought to do that.

Nala - I love your page! It's so great but there is one thing I must disagree with. You may think you are a "frustrated untalented artist" but I think you are super talented!
You captured what so many of us scrappers always say - that we are never in the pictures because we are always the one taking the pictures! Great job as always!
