Does anyone out there have a Mickey ice cream page that they would like to share. I am trying to plan one and have a few ideas but I am stuck. I need some inspiration. Thank you.
I don't, but someone here HAS to have one I'm sure. My girlfriend has my LO idea book with all the print-off's I've done while she's working on her WDW album. I can see if I can find something in there.
Check twopeasinabucket.com or scrapgallery for some layout ideas too!
I've done one Mickey Bar page in the past. It was a one page 12x12 layout and I created the main focus on a Handmade Mickey Bar I created. It's always a tradition for me and now my bf to have Mickey our first day.
Unfortunately, I do not have any pics of it right now (I'm at the library and don't have an internet connection at home). But I can describe how I made the Mickey Bar.
It's really simple:
1. I made a Mickey out of dark brown cardstock.
2. then I "took a bite" out of one the ears using scissors.
3. To make it look even better, I added white to emphasize the bite mark and create the ice cream.
4. Then I added a chip board popsicle stick that I left uncovered to mimic a real popsicle stick.
It was pretty simple and my friends loved it when they saw the page.
I simply added a few photos of us eating the bar, a wrapper, and a little journaling to explain why I love Mickey Bars!!
That sounds like a great idea! I'm going to have to take a pic. eating a Mickey Bar just so I can do that page! I just recently made a Turkey Leg page and it came out too cute! Am I nutz? I thought you were suposed to take the pic.s first then make your pages. All I can think about are photo ops that I need to take advantage of.
Thanks for the info I finished my page it turned out pretty cute. I really liked the idea of the bite mark. I added a little glitter to look like frost on it. I had took the picture of my daughter with the idea of making this page.
Oh I wish I would have thought about a turkey leg page. This trip we didn't even have them though -- bummer.

I finally have a photo of my page to post but I can't figure out how to post it. I have looked for instructions and can't find what I need. I can't seem to get the picture sized right. If someone can lead me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I use Photoshop elements 4.0. I've tried to resize in photobucket but I can't get it to post here either. I know it's probably easy. Any help would be appreciated. I know I've seen instructions somewhere on the board but know I can't find them.
Okay, I got it somewhat figured out. When I asked my dd to give me a word that described MK she said "Snacks" I would have thought fun, happy, exciting but what do I know. She loves to eat.
So the title was "Snacks"
This album is my 1st attempt at scrapping. Disney inspired me.
