| ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was looking for something else in the junk drawer when I found this little S hook. I thought it'd work great for the August challenge. I had my zipline pictures from Puerto Vallarta sitting on my desk waiting to be scrapped. The S hook made my tag not lay flat, so I dug around in the drawer again and found a chain. Neither are meant for scrapping, so they should qualify for the challenge this month. I'm trying to get a lot of pages done in August, so I'm going for simple. I'm also trying to use supplies I have on hand. The first two pattern papers have a Mexican feel and came from the Mexican Riviera scrap book kit that I bought on the disney ship this June. (O.K., I just couldn't resist buying this for my album, but otherwise I'm not buying new stuff!) They were really vibrant, so I tried to tone them down by covering some of it up and matting the photos. I thought it was pretty funny that we wore colors that would work with the pattern paper that came in the kit.

| Michelle - Those are great pages! I love your S-Hook and chain to hold the tag - clever idea! I did notice that your shirt colors matched your pages - cool! That zip line looks like it would be sooo fun!

| I love that tag! What a great addition to the page. And I have to say, you are so much braver that I am. I would have never had the guts to do that zipline! Great pages.

| A few years agao, Kiara had a pair of Hello Kitty tennis shoes that had these adorable little charms on the laces. When it came time to part with the shoes, I couldn't bring myself to throw away the charms on them. I ran across them in the laundry room and thought they would be perfect for this challenge. ![]() I took this picture of Kiara while waiting for a bus from the AK. She was wearing a charm bracelette that she got that trip, so I used the shoe charm to pick up on that from the picture. I also framed the side and top of the picture with a ball chain from a ceiling fan pull. I thought the title of "Sugar & Spice" went well with her sweet smile and that look of complete mischief in her eyes. The Prima flowers were a gift from Lynda and were perfect for this page. Thanks Lynda!

| Michelle - I love your pages! The pictures are priceless! I agree with you, sometimes it's just about getting the pages done. Nala - such a cute page - I agree with that little twinkle in her eyes! You both have been very creative with non-scrapbooking items! Good Job!

| Michelle, I love how you thought to use the S-hook and chain for your zip line tag. I would never think to do something like that. Great use of papers too. The zipline looks scary and fun at the same time! Nala, such a darling picture of Kiara. Adding the charm to the page will always help you remember one of her favorite things. I like how you added the gems to your letters (and I'm glad the Prima flowers came in handy!).

| Beautiful page, Nala. I envy you being able to use pink, flowers, and bling so much on your pages! With two boys, I really have to look hard for pages I can do that with. What a great idea to put rhinestones on the letters! I'm going to scraplift that one and I can scraplift the chain link idea for a border, too. It looks great with all your flowers and rhinestones but could be easily worked in for boy pages!

| I'm in awe of both of you as I am having a hard time coming up with something for this challenge. Michelle: I love the s-hook and chain. It definitely encompasses the hole zipline idea. (And you are so much braver than I am!! You won't find me on one of those!) Nala: Another beautiful layout and terrific use of non-scrapbooking charms. I am currently addicted to pink right now so I instantly fell in love with page before even looking at it closely. I love all the bling!
