18" x 18" Scrapbook

I am watching Martha Stewart today, and she is having a show on scrapbooking. (Normally I can't stand Martha Stewart, but I wanted something to watch while I was eating lunch and the fact that she was scrapbooking intrigued me. ) Anyways as she was touting her own scrapbook line at Michaels, she mentioned that there is an 18" x 18" scrapbook as part of her collection. http://www.marthastewartcrafts.com/d...d_scrapbooking My thought was "how would you even scrap an 18" x 18" page?" She only carries 6 colors of paper to fit the album, and Ive never seen anbody else carry anything in those dimensions. It sometimes would be nice to have the extra room, but I'm not sure about this. What do you think?

I've seen that huge stuff at Michael's before. I have no desire to use something that big.

That's too big.

I actually have gone down to 8 by 8 albums the last few years because I was spending way too much time with the extras on my 12 by 12 pages and not scrapping enough. Digital has allowed me to make smaller pictures so I'm not giving up any photos and I feel secure in doing more 1 photo layouts - and not forcing pages.

I saw the 18 x 18 book at Michael's this past weekend. Have no desire to do something that big at all. 12 x 12 is perfect for me!

18x18 seems like a huge scrapbook. I like my 12x12 books. I have no idea where I would even put a scrapbook that big.

I saw those at Michaels when they first started carrying the MS line. I thought they were WAY to big and I haven't seen the stock go down much at all so others must agree with that. And where on earth would one store it anyway?!?

I wouldn't be too thrilled with a book that huge either! A friend of mine was looking for something to do with all the huge 11 x 14 photos she has of her daughter growing up (you know, every year on her birthday) - maybe a book like this would work for something like that.

I use CM 12 X 15 albums for my main, family albums; they are big and sometimes hard to work with. And they take up a lot of room on the shelf; I lost a whole shelf since they are so tall. But with the number of pix I take, it works out good that way. 18 X 18 is just way tooo big

Good point, but that's about all I could imagine using it for. Too big for me. I guess size does matter.
