the longest gap between trip & scrapbook

Just reading the threads about 2006 & 2007 trips and I was wondering what the longest gap was between doing the trip and completing the scrapbook

My was 20 years. I went to Iceland in 1987 on a school trip and all the items I saved were stuffed in a folder with aim to create a scrapbook.
I got round to scrapbooking them last year. Luck for me the school was insistent on us writing a diary so I have some refernce points and also thank goodness for internet - my camera stopped working on the trip due to the cold so I was able to download from the internet (I only have 8 photos for a 3 week trip) Also I pressed some flowers & grasses and I was able to name them.

So what is the longest gap between your trip and scrapbooking it.

I think the longest time between trip and scrapbook for me was about 2 weeks after I got back for London. I had to recover from the jet lag!

For Disney trips, it has been 2-3 years in between. I studied abroad (just January Term) to France in 2001 and still have not started that scrapbook. Then there are the books that I have ideas for in my head - school, college, wedding and honeymoon - that will probably take forever to get done.

I've got a 2005 trip that I haven't done yet. My finished the scrapbook from our 2000 trip in 2007. But in the last year or two I've done other vacations from the last 20 years!

Wow, I can't beat that. : My longest gap was finishing off our December 2005 trip - I did that in about January or February this year.

I think 20 years wins!

I am pretty impressed that I finished 2007 in less than a year! I am usually a year behind.

Not counting trips I took before I started scrapping, I am probably a couple of years behind. I have WDW trips from 2006, 2007, and 2008 to scrap after I finish my London album from 2006. Oh, and then there is the scrapbook I started for my DD's HS graduation. She graduated in 2005, and it was supposed to be a scrapbook for her including photos from the time she was born to present. So if I throw that into the mix, then I am 21 years behind! My goal now is to maybe finish it before she graduates from college in 2010. That might be tricky though as I am in school full-time~ scheduled to graduate in 2010 also!

Well, I'm still working on our 2002 trip....but....

I'm scrapping family photos as well, and I have some that are over 100 years old....does that count?

For Disney trips, I am usually done with the entire book within a month of our return home, but I'm a bit OCD about getting projects done.

Oh, and I forgot....there was that trip back in 1989.....but there aren't enough pictures to warrant a full album....

I guess it's the album I'm working on now from our WDW 2006 trip. Although I still have to go back and add Christmas of 2004 to the present to my Christmas album.

I still need to finish the Make a Wish Disney trip from 2004.... I got started then got a 'little' sidetracked!! I took SO MANY pictures from the parks to the village... then we went in 2005, and that book is almost finished. The bad part is I am getting behind in the other scrapping since I am trying to get the trips finished. Sometimes I just have to change the scenery (what I am working on) in order to keep going.

Why do it today when you can put off thinking about it until tomorrow?

Seriously I'm embarrassed. My eldest DS is almost 12yrs old and I'm yet to finish his baby album. I only get travel albums done when I give them as gifts. I leave ours 'til last then get on with something else. Shame, shame, shame.
