| Marcie, what a fun page! I love that you put the kitty in time out! That fiber makes great bars. Shell, what a beautiful page. Love the colors and the way you did the poem. That page looks like you put a ton of work into it and it was so worth it.

| Your page turned out great and your DD's are so pretty! I like the way you cut the poem into strips. It makes the page so visually interesting.

| I was so at a loss for what to do for this month's challenge. I had a few ideas of pictures to use, but was having trouble finding a quote to go along with them. I have to give credit to Michelle (MARV) for giving me inspiration for the layout I did. I did this layout about the night that my DD, who has issues with loud noises and can't stand to be anywhere near fireworks, actually braved watching them not once, but twice, in one night. I think DD's ability to shake off the fear was the fact that we took my nephew with us and since he is like a big brother to her, he had an amazing, positive effect on her. Having him by her side gave her the courage she needed. ![]() I tried something I have never done before, that of using a white background. I have to say, been there, done that, don't think I will do it again. The picture lifts up to reveal the journaling that I am yet to do. I must say that the only things I like about this layout are the picture and the quote.

| Well Nala, I really like it. I've worked in engineering all my life so I really love angles, squares, and everything just so lined up. Yes, I've even been known to use a ruler and triangle so my lines are straight. I really like how the rose paper is just skewed every so slightly and then the black mat and picture skewed just a touch more. It gives the page interest without taking away from the picture and the text. I like what you wrote as well but the skewed background inspires me.

| The embellishments on your page are so beautiful Nala! The photo is gorgeous, and I love the quote and the story behind it! I wonder what it would look like if it were reversed on black paper with white title letters? Maybe it would give you more of a night time feel and you'd be more happy with it. Don't get me wrong - I think it's beautiful just as it is!

| Nala, your page looks great, even if you don't like the background paper. Is the swirl hand drawn, a rub-on, or a stamp? I love how it frames your photo, and draws the eye to it.

| OK, I am going to join this month! My quotes are sort of....um....common.... as they are from my wedding album. I am going to post 2, since one doesn't have any pictures but is one of my favorite pages ever!First, our ceremony: ![]() "With this ring..." And the next one, with no pictures is this: ![]() "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" The top garter was my mom's (she passed away in 1989, we were married in 1996). She wore it when she married my Dad in 1951, and it has a 1951 penny in it. The bottom garter was a gift from my matron of honor. I wore that one, plus my Mom's, and I put a 1996 penny in hers along with the 1951 penny. I felt like she was with me on the day I married my soul mate! ![]()

| Sue, such a special memory to include in your wedding album and a nice way to make your Mom part of your special day by following the old tradition of "something old".
