| Help, Where Do I Start? I've been collecting Disney scrapbook supplies since our trip in 2007. Now,(three trips later), I am finally brave enough to start. The problem is I am not sure how to go about it. Should I scap our visit in order, like each day? Or should I do it by theme, (like our hotel, Magic Kingdom, etc.)? How do you all do it?

| I sort of do both. I usually start with the Hotel because it's the very first thing we do (check in). So I just include all the stuff I want to remember about the hotel first. Then I look at all the photos we took and sort of get an idea of what pages I want to do - I actually make a list of possible titles. So since all the photos are arranged by when they were taken I sort of do them by park and in the order that we went to. Other ideas are to do sections like The Hotel, a section on all the places you ate, Your favorite rides, Charater interactions, Parades, Fireworks, ...you get the idea. There's just no set way to do it. Just what ever works for you. And the biggest thing to remember is YOU DON'T HAVE TO SCRAP EVERY PHOTO!!!!! Pick the best photos that express the memories and go from there. But don't throw the other pictures away. You never know when your kids will want to pull out one and use it.

| Thanks for the great advice. I like the idea of different sections, like restaurants, favorite rides, etc. I think I will try that. My son started for the first time today. He did pretty good.

I like to start with departing/arrival (if you have pictures) and then move on to the resort. Then I go by theme park and do special layouts for things like mini golf, character dining, any of the special events you may have attended. It seems overwhelming, but it can be lots of fun and a great way to remember your trip. And remember there is no wrong way to scrapbook.

| Another idea is to do an ABC book where you find something that goes with every letter of the alphabet, such as "A" for Aladdin etc. It is a fun idea to highlight your Disney trip.

| It's your scrapbook, so you can do it any way you like. I have done a book by day, a few books with a section for each park and the hotel we stayed at as well as others we visited, an ABC album, and even a magical moments book. Anything goes. I have said this before here, but I will say it again. I have found that looking at my pictures and getting a general idea of how I want to do my book really helps. I plan out what pages I will do, and in what order they will be in my book. I consider it a road map of sorts and it helps keep me on track. If I decide to add a few pages, no big deal, but at least I have a plan and a direction to follow. All that really matters is that you are putting your precious memories down on paper to be enjoyed for years to come. Have fun creating.

| I tend to do it in theme, unless there was an amazing day, which I want to remember.

| Remember there is no right or wrong way to order your book. I've done chronological order from day to day. My last few have been more thematic with related groups. Have fun!

| I usually start with the departure and hotel. Then I go by park instead of by days. In each park one I usually go by area of the park, even if the photos are from different days.

| Thanks everyone. I think I'm finally going to start. I will look at my pictures and see what will work best, but I like the idea of themes. I'm so excited. Thanks for all your great advice.

| So glad I found this thread. I want to do a scrapbook very badly, but had/have no idea where to start. I have a TON of pictures from last year's trip, and I'm sure I'll have another ton of this year coming up. When I do start mine (it'll be after this year's trip), I'm going to do it themed. When we went last year we re-visited the parks so often it'd be impossible to follow if I tried day-to-day. One idea that I want to try to use with the character interaction is to have the picture with the character (Either our own or a Photopass one) on the same page with the character's autograph. That's about as far as my planning has come! |

| We're doing our first scrapbooks. DD1 is doing one of our trip from Dec. 2007. She is grouping it by location. So far, she's done SSR, and is working on Epcot. I'm doing one that is all of our character photos from all of our trips, then the topiaries from our last trip and then parardes. DD2 is doing one that is about our 2 girls day we had at Epcot and MK in April. DD1 and DH went to Universal so they can do one together of that too. |
