Cricut Swarm

Has anyone on the list been to or planned a Cricut Swarm? I am thinking about trying to organize something in the middle Tennessee area but I have never been to one. I know they can be loosely planned or very organized with projects, make&takes, etc. I was wondering if anyone had any experience.

Can I ask what a "Cricut Swarm" is? I've never heard that term before. Is it just a crop with Cricut users?

We're having one next month. It is basically just an informal gathering of 2 or more people where a Cricut is being used. You can register your Swarm on the Cricut site. Each month they draw a winner from all the registered Swarms for some cool prizes.

Our swarm isn't an open gathering. It's just a group of us who get together to scrapbook. Since we do this anyway, why not sign up for a chance to win something!

Register Your Swarm and Win

Thanks! Since I bring my Cricut to every crop I go to, perhaps I should take advantage of this.

At our last monthly crop, we got to talking about word books because I brought a few I had made using my Cricut and Design Studio. I had made one for each of my kids and I made a Disney one. Nearly everyone had a Cricut and asked if I could show them how I made the word books. That is how we got started talking about having a Swarm. Our thinking was we could do some sharing/learning/training during the day. One thing I would look forward to is trying new cartridges I don't have.

You should! You just have to register your swarm by the 15th of the month prior to your swarm. So if your swarm is in October, you must register it by 9/15.

You can use your Cricut and Design Studio to make a book where each page is a letter that spells out a name or event or something. Each letter is welded to a rectangle that gets bigger with each letter so you can see each letter of the word. Then you decorate each page like a scrap book. Mine are 12" long and 6" high to make it easy with the Cricut.

I think pictures should be attached...
