| Japan scrapbook part two OK, so now I've finished my Japan scrapbook, I thought I should share the second part with you. It covers our visit to Kyoto, nearby Nara and their deer park and Buddhist temple and our time in Hiroshima, including the Peace Memorial Park remembering the events of 1945 and our visit to Miyajima Island with its beautiful floating Torii gate, which should be familiar to any visitors to Epcot! Our Shinkansen high speed train trip from Tokyo to Kyoto Nijo Castle in Kyoto The gardens of Nijo Castle The Ryoan-ji temple in Kyoto Kyoto's Golden Pavilion The shopping area of Kyoto The five storey pagoda in Nara Paying respects at a shrine in Nara Sampling the local delicacies on offer! The Todai-ji temple in Nara with its giant Buddha Nara's famous deer Nara Park Back at Nijo Castle at night Enjoying cherry blossom season in Kyoto Nanzen-ji temple in Kyoto Heian shrine in Kyoto, the city's newest temple Our hotel in Hiroshima Shukkeien Gardens in Hiroshima The streetcar system in Hiroshima Miyajima's famous floating Torii gate Miyajima Island Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island Enjoying more cherry blossom! The Daisho-in Temple on Miyajima Island The haunting A-bomb Dome in the centre of Hiroshima, the only building left standing after the bomb dropped General Memorial Peace Park page, showing some of the highlights Another general Memorial Peace Park page - from this page until the last page, there's text on each page, telling the story of what happened, as seen in the Hall of Remembrance The Atomic Bomb Memorial Mound and a tree that survived the bomb - it didn't die, but it didn't grow anymore Children's Peace Momument The bottom end of the Peace Memorial Park including the Fountain of Peace and the Peace Memorial Museum The Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall The Cenotaph and Flame of Peace to be extinguished when the world is rid of nuclear weapons Hope you enjoy this! ![]()

| Gorgeous, Cheryl! You've got some really neat scrapbooking elements in your book. Did you find a lot of that while on your trip, or did you find those elsewhere?

| Anything that looks like a leaflet came from Japan - anything that looks like a proper embellishment, I bought from scrapbook suppliers. I managed to find some really nice Japan embellishments.
