| Hey everyone, So I came up with an idea to keep my mom and myself excited about going to WDW, not that it is really a problem. It's just that our trip isn't until May 2011 at the earliest. So, I thought since my mom has never been I would start a scrapbook for her. Of course it would be the planning part, but I thought it would be a great start to her WDW scrapbook! Plus it will keep me busy and maybe it will make the time go by faster. What do you all think? Is this a good idea? A lame idea? Also I would love suggestions on pages to do. Thanks in advance for all your suggestions! ![]() |

| Not lame at all. You can scrapbook your entire planning process - how you got from here to there. If you want to, you can also make your own autograph books with scrapbooking supplies to carry with you at the parks - many here have done that. I am going to do it for our next trip (and yes, I think it's OK for adults to have autographs, why should kids have all the fun)

| That sounds like a great idea! I just read a post where T shirts were made (awesome - Mickey head) and the autograph books are great ideas too! We made an autograph book also from a plain book we found in the Scrapbook store. We got some cool Disney letters with Mickey on them and put the date and my daughters name. We got additional stickers to put on after we get back to complete the decorating of it. (She was afraid that pulling it in and out of her handbag would pull off the extra stickers, so she decided to wait till we get back to complete her book.) If Mom is a little crafty she might want to help you make shirts for everyone! And I love the idea of scrapbooking your pre-trip planning ... |

| I used this scrapbook that I found on ebay as inspiration. I couldn't afford the price so I am making one myself with the supplies that I have. | Sounds fun!! You can record the process of choosing your resort, maybe have photos of the resorts you considered and journal why you picked your final choice. Take photos of you and your mom reading a planning guide (like Passporter) or surfing on the web for Disney info. You can scrap your confirmation letter. If you're staying at Disney they will send you lots of stuff in the mail that you can scrap. Take photos of going to the mailbox and getting your confirmation! Make a Disney countdown calendar - take pictures of that too!

| I always scrap planning items before my trips. I just finished my trip planner/journal for my trip in Sept. I've made autograph books, mousekeeping envelopes, even a "Do Not Disturb" door hang (personalized with our names). Sometimes, I even make a small pre-made scrapbook for album. That way, I can print some of our pictures and enjoy them when we get home before I have time to scrap my big book. Our last trip, I even made a SWW banner to put in our window. I love scrapping and it was a way to get even more excited about our trips. ![]() I hope that give you some ideas. (Just FYI - I'll be posting my trip journal here later today)
