How do you store and organize your scrapbooking papers?? I don't think my current method is the most efficient...so I'm wondering what kind of storage unit you use and how you sort your papers.
I have these...
Pic is from the Cropper Hopper website. And right now I have solid color paper in the large container sorted by color and patterned paper in the smaller containers sorted by design (floral, stripes, polka dots, etc.) Then separately I have the coordinated paper packs that I've purchased that I didn't want to split apart. So if I'm working on a page and looking for patterned papers with a certain color I have to look through each container of patterned paper and each of the coordinated paper packs...and I'm thinking maybe there is an easier way?
I use the Cropper Hopper pocket folders -- I think they're called page planners. One big pocket with a half-size pocket in the back. I put full sheets in the main pocket, scraps in the small back one.
I have one pocket for each main color (Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, black, white and brown) and one for each "theme" of patterned papers -- scouts, school, dance, wedding, baby, beach, etc. I put stickers that match the theme in the back pocket, too, since I usually use those papers as full sheets. Disney took several pockets -- Mickey/Minnie, princesses, other Disney characters, theme parks and Disney holidays.
I store them in a rubbermaid tub without the lid.
It took a ton of folders, but I love the system. If I go to a crop I just take all my solids, plus the themes of the book I'm working on -- my school papers, or travel papers, or whatever.
I folded the top flap backwards and put them in my XXL rolling tote.
I coordinate my solids by color and my prints by color, unless they are a specific subject (christmas, beach, disney, etc.). So I have a section for yellow prints, yellow solids, blue prints, blue solids, etc. Then I have a folder with the specific prints: disney, christmas, travel, beach, halloween, school, etc. This folder I don't keep in my rolling tote, I just pull it out when I need it. It works for me.
I have something similar to this for my colour block paper - it does have a top cover that comes over it, but I never use that - it's always folded behind, so I have easy access to my paper. That looks like a great method of storage.
I have two of these carts. The one like the one above holds all of my loose paper organized by color. I also have another cart with deeper drawers that holds all of my stacks as well as all of my Disney papers.

I checked them out on the Cropper Hopper website and I like the look of those! And it would be handy to have the scraps there as I have those stored separately currently.

Disney supplies take up a large portion in my scrapbooking room closet. When I see Disney scrapbooking supplies in the store, they just sort of jump right into my basket!

I'm going to try this! I re-sorted all my patterned paper today by color.

Now I need to go shopping! But I have to decide if I want to spend money on scrapbooking items or things to store them in!
you can scrapbook more if you can find your stuff that you know you have!!!!! I felt the same way, and decided I hating looking to find stuff that I knew I already had, so organizers and shelves it was!
Have fun-whatever you decide!

I have those Cropper Hopper holders for paper. I sort mine by manufacturer since I like to coordinate my paper by line when scrapping. Although sometimes it would be nice to just have things sorted by color when I don't have the whole line of something.
