| I do my scrapbooking as a hobby, it gives me the chance to be creative, to share my work and to leave it behind for other generations to come. When I am doing it I feel free, that the sky is the limit, when I see my creation I love it because it is uniquely me! How about you? Why do you scrapbook? Please share your thoughts!

| Basically everything you just said sums up why I love to scrap. I think having the chance to show my photos in a creative way is the main reason I scrapbook. I love looking at my photos in my book when I'm done and thinking about how much fun I had or recalling a story behind the picture. There are endless possiblities when you scrap and I love how no 2 books will ever be the same.

| I love to scrapbook my photos because it tells a story about the photo. I have gotten to the point that I hate looking at pictures just stuck in an album. You don't get the story of the pics that way.

| I've never really thought about why! I think all the reasons everyone else has listed fit me to some extent. I just love being able to create something that (I think) is beautiful, interesting, or fun to look at. I've never had much artistic capability in the form of drawing, painting, sculpting, singing, or playing an instrument. But this, I can do. When it comes to scrapbooking I feel like an artist. And as someone else mentioned...it's much more interesting to look at a scrapbook than a photo album!!

| When I do a project I like instant gratification and Scrapbooking give that to me. Plus it's a fun way to preserve memories

| I enjoy preserving my family's memories and it is one of the few ways that I feel I can truly be creative. It is also calming and relaxing for me.

| I get to be creative. It also helps me relive my trip or the memories in the photo. For me, the act of scrapbooking is more memory inducing than just looking at photos or looking at an album.

| I like the fact that not only do you utilise pictures, as you would in a photo album, but you also can incorporate souvenirs and "other" things - for example, instead of a page just of pictures of a restaurant, you also can have some of the Mickey-confetti that was on your table, a napkin, a mickey straw, etc. It adds a lot to it, and I think it also will help you remember better. 20 years from now, if you look through a photo album, you'll remember some things, but looking at a scrapbook page, you would get much more vivid, succint memories. |

| I scrap because it's my opportunity to be creative, but it's also a much better way of remembering your vacations - you get to use souvenirs in your scrapbooking in a way that you can't with just photo albums.

| I scrapbook for many reasons. To relax, to zone out, to express myself. When I scrapbook, I feel like a little kid in art class. There is no wrong way! Just let your creativity flow!

| For lots of reasons. many already mentioned here. I've always collected bits and bobs on my travels, love taking photos. and being creative. So scrapbooking seemed a great way thoses and preserve and re-live memories. It's a great way to chill and be a kid again (getting messy)

| I scrapbook as a gift to others. My friends and family look to me to provide them with memory books for sharing. The albums I make for my family are my gift to future generations. I am a little crafty but definately not as creative as many PP on the boards so I don't have spectacular books but ones with stories told in pictures and journaling with memory triggers such as tickets, maps and other momentos.

| You all have summed up my feelings so well! When I first heard of scrapbooking, I thought it was silly, time consuming, expensive, and something I wouldn't be interested in. My DDs actually got into it before me, and I really enjoyed seeing what they did. It sparked my interest. My SIL had a scrapbooking store and that really got me addicted! I just love it. I love to be creative and try new things. I also like to have my photos organized instead of in a box or on my computer! I crop with a group of friends and family and it gives us a change to be together. And it's a little reality escape - I can't always be on vacation or at a fun event, but scrapbooking the photos lets me relive it again.
