Anyone else having problems with Cricut Expression?
I received a Cricut Expression for Christmas and now the LED screen won't come on. It worked fine this morning, but now it won't come on and I tried the reset procedure but it didn't work. It cuts just fine, but because the screen is dark, I have no idea what size the cut will be.
I was wondering if anyone else experienced this problem and if so, what did you have to do? Did you have to return your machine?
I plan on contacting Cricut in the morning, but I'm just that I can't use it.
I contacted Cricut a week ago and they told me to fax all my info, including a copy of the receipt. They assured me that I would be receiving a brand new machine with all the same accessories. I faxed all the information to them and waited for an e-mail. After three days and no word, I called them again.
They told me the Expression were out of stock and they don't know when they'll get anymore in. Fast forward to this morning and once again, I called Cricut. I got the same story as last week. Grrr... I decided I don't want to wait months to use my present, so back to Walmart I went. I told the manager about the problems with my machine and they let me exchange it for one of the original Expressions. The new one has one less cartridge than the green one, but at this point I don't care. I brought it home and it works. YAY! Now that school is cancelled due to weather, I plan to spend the day catching up on my scrapbooking. I haven't done any scrappin' since June, when I made our Disney scrapbook. I can't wait to get started.
I'm glad you were finally able to get a working machine! We were out of school today, too, and used the time to finish my October 2009 WDW scrapbook. Hope you've had some fun using your Cricut!
