Since I have finished the May '07 WDW album, I have moved on to finish pages for the October '07 album. This is a page of a memory that HAD to be scrapbooked, but that I had NOT ONE SINGLE GOOD PICTURE OF!!!!
This one is all about one very magical moment created by two very incredible CMs at WDW.
The tab is a card that pulls out to reveal the journaling about this incredible, magical moment.
I know I always have a story about almost every page I do, but this one has a really good one. It is long, but please stick with me. If you are a fan of Disney magic, it will be worth reading.
We were in Epcot on the evening of its 25th anniversary, but due to one of the worst rain storms we have ever seen at WDW, we were stuck seeking shelter for most of our time there. When the rain did break, we moved from our cover in Mexico and stopped to take a break in China. It was here that we started chatting with a man who turned out to be an off duty CM. When I told DH it was time to leave, due to the fact that Illuminations was going to start soon, this CM told us we couldn't miss the special show that was about to happen. We explained that while we would love to see it, our DD couldn't handle the fireworks and we HAD to leave.
Once we explained to him why we had to leave, he told us the best place to watch Wishes from inside was at 'Ohana. Even though we told him that we had been there and done that, he gave us the name of a friend of his, who was a manager at 'Ohana, and urgued us to call him and ask to have us set up at a table with a view of Wishes. We thanked him for his kind offer, said we would contact his friend, but as we walked away, both DH and I knew we would never be so bold as to call someone up out of the blue and ask for such a special favor.
But, we didn't have to. By the time we got back to our room, this CM had called his friend, told him our story, and his friend had called our room and left a message inviting us to come to 'Ohana with the promise of the best seat in the house with a view of Wishes.
Needless to say, as I listened to that message, I busted out crying. With such a generous offer on the table, we booked 'Ohana for the last night of our tirp. True to his word, the manager got us the best seat in the house. As I watched DD watching Wishes that night, the tears fell once again. And, DH's eyes were less than dry too.
We have had some major magical things happen to us at WDW, but this one is at the top. It really was a moment to cherish and the perfect example of why we love WDW so much!
Your page is just beautiful and so is the story that goes with it! I remember reading about that with your TR of that trip and I was so happy that with a little helping of Disney Magic, you all were able to view Wishes together!

Nala, you kow we love the stories behind your pages - I remember reading that one in your trip report. You made a beautiful page to capture that memory. I love the scalloped paper your picture is matted on, as well as the crystal embellishments and hidden Mickeys.
