Has anyone ever used one of these? If so, was it helpful? It looks like it would be, but even with a sale price of $54.95, I'd like some reviews before I consider purchasing it.
A woman I used to crop with had something similar...I think a friend custom-made it for her. She called it Fred, which I think stood for something or other.
Anyway, Peggy loved Fred. She said it helped her keep her work area neater.
I can see lots of benefits to it; I'm someone who stands up a lot at my work space, to see how my layout looks from straight-on, so this product would allow you to get a nice overall look at it, while still sitting down.
However, I do a lot of shifting around of my stuff, which would be harder with the magnets. On the other hand, the magnets would keep stuff from shifting too much when I moved one item around but not others.
Bottom line? Think of how you work and picture yourself doing it with the little easel. Gravity is not my own personal friend (I'm a somewhat clumsy person with a long history of falling down), so I need to keep my own stuff flat and couldn't use this too well. But if keeping your layouts at eye-level and off the work surface would be a benefit for you, or if your work surface is pretty small, this may be for you!
Good luck.

Oh yeah, and I think 16 magnets would not be enough for me for a 2-page layout. Did I mention that, besides being gracefulness-challenged, I spend a lot of time looking for stuff that I had just a minute ago? I think I'd misplace the little magnets, not to mention have too much stuff when auditioning different elements to be happy with just 8 per page. But maybe you can buy extras, or you probably could buy cheap ones elsewhere that would work here.

for all the feedback, everyone. I never sit down when I scrap, so I played around today with what it might be like to scrap at a 35 degree angle. I'm still unsure how convenient it might be for me.
