It's January 2nd, and a good time to set goals for the new year, including how many completed scrapbook pages we hope to finish in the next 363 days of 2013. This thread over the past few years has been a remarkable motivator and a source of encouragement for me. I hope it has been for many of you all, too.
So I'm ready to set my goal. I completed 195 pages in 2012, not quite my goal, but very close. For 2013, I'm going to start with a goal of 175. We currently have only one trip to WDW planned for June (though I'm hoping for one more before year end), so that would be one book. I also wanted to scrap some photos I took last year in my first year of teaching AP Language. Plus if I find the right book, I have my letters to Santa that my Mom saved and the photos my Daddy gave me that I'd like to scrap. So 175 seems a reasonable start.
I just found this challenge and it sounds like the perfect motivation to get back into scrapbooking mode. I do digital scrapbooking, so I hope that's okay for the challenge!
I have only completed Lexi's 1st year scrapbook and she is now 5 and I have a Disney vacation to scrap too! I think I will set my goal at 200 pages and try to get Lexi's scrapbooks caught up.
I completed 261 pages in 2012, with an original goal of 300 that I reset to 250, so I'll set my goal at 265 for 2013. I have one DisneyLand trip to scrap, plus everyday life, so I don't expect to run out of photos any time soon!
Good luck to everyone!
Ginger

I got just over my target of 200 last year, so I'm going to go with 200 again and see how I get on. I have a lot to do - finish off Disneyland Paris at Halloween, the Olympics and our December trip, but equally I know it'll be a while before I do anything, as we have some house stuff to finish off first...
I set a goal of 100 pages last year and reach 82, I think. This year I am setting a goal of 300. Our DS is graduating and I need to compete his football photo album and I have two cruises and 2 land trips yet to scrap. Add to all of that, a trip to Europe this year and I will have more than enough to do.
I started on 1/2/13 and completed 5 pages to date. Slow and steady will win the race.
Great goals everyone! Great start already, pago! Aimee, digital scrapbooking is definitely okay! Can't wait to see how we all get on as the year progresses. I'm hoping to get our October WDW book finished this weekend.
Well I had a lot to deal with in 2012 I only did 50 of 100. So I'll try for 150 this 2013. I have 2 Disney trips from 2012, a trip in May, a cruise in September & October. Plus everything backed up from years ago. Looking forward to reading every ones progress. I love this link
I got bupkus done last year...it was a busy busy year and my sanctuary fell apart. I have vowed that I am going to get back up there and get busy... but it's going to take a bit to whip it all back into shape. So I will set my goal at 100.
Missed my goal in 2012 - 71/80; but a lot of medical issues got in the way and lots of photo sorting was done in 2012. My goal for 2013 is 100 - I have two vacation photo sets sorted and ready to scrap and am hoping the medical issues are kept to the one surgery minimum (already scheduled! )

Thumbs-up to everyone for what you did last year! Even if we didn't meet our original goals, every completed layout was a memory preserved, an artistic outlet, and often a fun time, too.
I went to a crop at my church Saturday and completed 6 pages. Before that, I did 2 new pages and almost totally redid a page I thought I'd finished the week before (too blah!), so I'm off to a running start with 9 pages and another crop coming up next Saturday. I've started pulling out photos from when my sons were small--just fun stuff instead of chronological or the themed albums I've been doing--and that's so much fun and motivating.
