Scrapbooking supplies from WDW

I'm new to scrapbooking and I'll be checking out the supplies at the Wonderful World of Memories store and the parks during my trip in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know of exclusive items that should be on my must-have list that I won't be able to find anywhere else? By the way, I'm getting married at WDW and spending my honeymoon there, so I'm thinking about doing two scrapbooks - one with a wedding theme for the wedding stuff, and one with a Disney theme for the honeymoon stuff. Any suggestions?

Re: Scrapbooking supplies from WDW

Personally, I found the Mickey scissors and the eyelets to be must haves. I have found Mickey head eyelets elsewhere, but not in these colors. I also bought a castle punch, even though I already have the QuicKutz castle.... What can I say?

Some of the packets they have are very nice, with unique papers and restaurant logos and the like. I have bought a few of these -- but I haven't used them yet!

Re: Scrapbooking supplies from WDW

They have a great Wedding kit available down at disney. I bought 6 kits while I was done there last week. The packs are 15 bucks a piece but you get o so much. The scissors are so cute and a must have. They also have little quotes that are irristable. The store at Downtown Disney has EVERYTHING. Also, there is a great store at Epcot near the fountain that has tons of stuff. Some that I didn't see at downtown Disney. Hope that helps.

I used to sell CM, so I think their prices are reasonable. I DO NOT like my Mickey shears (they look cute, work bad), but I love my castle punch. They also have tons of stickers/die cuts/packs that are all reasonable and very fun to use. I second the eyelets, too, I forgot them and paid way to much to order them later! Have a wonderful time!

Re: Scrapbooking supplies from WDW

I bought the fairytale wedding pack while at Disneyland (one evening on a business trip ) It's darling!!! I have to echo the mickey scissors--they don't cut well and they don't look like mickey ears when they do--odd, I thought! I have the mickey eyelets, but my eyelet setter isn't large enough to make it work Suggestions anyone?

I'm still working on the scrapbook from our WDW vow renewal....have to get it done before we go again!! Have fun with yours!

Interesting that two of you have had problems with the Mickey scissors -- I've used mine quite a bit with no issues -- bet it is inconsistent manufacturing!

Luvmycastle -- do you have the interchangeable eyelet setter -- I think its from Making Memories. I had to buy it because so many of my eyelets were two big for the 'one size fits all.' You can pick it up at Michaels or AC Moore for a reasonable price.

My Mickey Scissors work great now that a friend of mine fixed them! Cut some aluminum foil with them, it fixed mine.

I love them! They make very cute frames!

I tried that with mine and wax paper, too, but no help, they still grind and mash away Oh well, at least they're fun to look at in my supply kit!

Re: Scrapbooking supplies from WDW

I have a question about the Mickey eyelets. I saw them at the DD store when we were there. I thought they were so cute but had no idea what they're to be used for!
Can someone explain it to me please?

TIA! Laura

They are supposed to be embellishments, you use them to decorate a page, secure something on, etc.
