| Woohoo!!! Just finished my first page in 5 years!
I've been scrapping a long time, but got sidetracked a few years ago. I was working on wedding scrapbook at the time and I got a call that my grandmother wasn't going to make it. She hadn't been able to come to the wedding, so I'd planned on showing her the scrapbook when I was done. I had 10 pages done when I got the phone call. When we left in the rental car to head to her hospital in South Carolina the next morning, I had 25 pages done. She was able to see the wedding and we talked about it that week before she passed away. DH and I came home, found out we were expecting just a few weeks later and I never touched the scrapbook again until a few weeks ago. Life just got busy!
Anywho, a couple of weeks ago, I finally decided it was time to start rustling up some much-needed supplies (my stash was sad at the time) and get working on a scrapbook for the baby (now 3 years old ). In the process, I found wedding pictures I didn't know I had anymore and the bridal shower pictures I thought I'd lost!
So I decided to finish up the beginning of my wedding book and let the rest of it be a work-in-progress for my downtime.
Today, I finished the first page of my bridal shower. I'm so pleased, I might have to split in two to hold it in. I still have most of the decorations from the shower, too. So I'm including some of them in the shower pages. |

| Re: Woohoo!!! Have fun getting back to your scrapbooking. I did the same thing last year - hadn't touched my stuff in a good six years, and since then I've completed five albums! There are way too many supplies to choose from now, unlike a few years ago. It's hard to keep from shopping.

Having a child can make that happen ! Seriously, looking forward to seeing some pages. I got tears in my eyes when I read that you brought your scrapbook to show your Grandma.
Hope you keep scrapping, I work on it slowly but enjoy it so much. I'm embarrassed to say I've been married almost 18 years and have yet to do a wedding scrapbook and don't even ask how I'm doing on my kids albums, hee, hee. It's just really hard when you have kids. |
