| Christmas Day scrapbook page I have a very unusual page I can make this year. I am going to take a picture of our 4 bottles of Amoxicillin lined up on the counter and put it with pictures of each of on the couch. (O.K., there is no picture of me, but what's new.) We have each had strep throat, all diagnosed within 4 days of each other and we were all down on Christmas day. No Christmas at the in-laws this year. Shucks! Seriously, it sure makes you feel lucky for good health all the rest of the year, especially when we all were sick at once! |

| Re: Christmas Day scrapbook page May I scraplift that idea? Sounds like my house this year too! (Except not strep - just sinus and ear infections - repeatedly!) But I like the idea!!! |

| Re: Christmas Day scrapbook page First of all, I am sorry to hear that everyone was sick for Christmas. But I like how you are going to capture the event in a scrapbook.
I would have to do a title like "The children were all nestled, all snug in their beds, while visions of Amoxicillin danced in their heads".
Please show us the page when you get it done. It sounds like it will be very cute! |

Good or bad, it's still a memory- what a neat idea! And coincidentally, I am currently on amoxicillin for strep throat. Go figure.. |

| Re: Christmas Day scrapbook page My boys are on amoxicillan too-- they were for Christmas as well. Sick with sinus/ear infections. The sad thing is this the third year in a row they have been really sick for Christmas. Two years ago we had to rush Danny in for Christmas Eve due to wheezing with his croup, and were told he would probably have to be admitted (thank goodness he wasn't), but my kids are always sick on Christmas, its the worst. Anyway, sorry I rambled, love your scrapbooking idea!!!! |

That would be terrible to be sick each Christmas. One was enough for me.
How old is Danny? My youngest, who is now 9, used to get so many episodes of croup each year. Finally, when he was about 5, a Dr. we just happened to see told us he thought it was respitory induced asthma. I guess at a certain age (maybe 5?) kids should have outgrown croup and if those symptoms continue, it should be treated as asthma. Now, we just keep him on an inhaler through the winter months and none of his colds go into secondary infections (ear infection, pink eye, croup like cough, etc.). In four years the only "complication" from a cold was pnemonia and he had such a high fever, he wasn't willing to take his inhaler, which is why I would guess it went that far. Believe me, now no matter how sick he feels, he does that inhaler. Croup is such a scary thing. Anyway, hope everyone is feeling better there. |
