I bought those 8x8 color books from JoAnn's that have all the diffent colors, can't remember what they are called.

I know what you mean. I've never bought one but have friends that use them all the time. I'm thinking it would be really handy to have colors all in the same color scheme like that. Well, now I have another use for my JoAnn coupon. |

| Re: Show your layouts: Disney /Orlando Resorts katspjs, great pages! Did you ink the second page and tags? I've always been afraid to do that but after seeing that page, I'll have to have a new "out of my box" experience. Another question, in the 3rd picture, did you take the bandana type paper and rip it and then use the paper that was left to make the diamond shape accent? I've never ripped my pattern paper, only solid color paper. I think I'm too frugal, but I could use the remaining pieces on another page or make them as embellishments. I'm not sure I'm ready to push myself like that, ha. Old habits are hard to break!
LadyT, I remember seeing the Christmas pictures posted before. I remember them because I liked them so much. I didn't get to see any of the other resorts at Christmas (too much to do and not enough time) so it's fun to look at your pictures. |

Thanks Michelle. I had to go back and look at what I did. I didn't ink the second page, the paper and tags came like that - it's Basic Grey paper - possibly the Ashley collection. Inking the edges of the page will give you a bit of depth. You could also try/practice on scraps, I've also seen where people have foam sponged the ink on the edges of the paper, I think that gives you more control over where the ink is going.
The third page, I cut the paper with deckle scissors and cut the diamond out of another part of the paper. Don't be afraid to tear the paper, the results can be wonderful. Practice with scrap or paper you know you won't ever use. You can also ink the torn end of the paper to give it a worn look.

I haven't quite finished this album. The green box is for journaling. |
