I think that I am going to be there when the rest of the world is there!

I know that Easter is an extremely busy time. But - my spring break has never really actually hit the Easter Sunday. This year my spring break is the week before Easter. So - not wanting to give up going to my favorite place on earth.....I chose to go the first 5 days of the week - and head down to mom's on Thursday afternoon.
Well - last night, dh and I were discussing our stay at the Poly and I told him that I had read where you could get concierge service in a garden view room. He told me to go ahead and change our ressie to that. (we have a garden view room only right now)
I quickly got online - ummmmmmmm there is nothing available at the Poly. And from the looks of it - there is nothing available except a one bedroom villa at Saratoga Springs! I guess I better prepare for a very crowded visit!

That's surprising!

I would have figured that most people would either have made a long weekend including Easter (but you're not going to be there then) or later on in the month. I know our New Hampshire school district spring vacation is the last full week of April.

Keep trying! I bet that the concierge will be very helpful on a very busy week.

We will be there from 4/5 to 4/9 but we are at Beach Club not Poly. I booked my room more than a year out.

Can anyone tell me when Florida's spring break is? We usually miss it by a week; this year our spring break trip is April 7-14......

I am assuming it will be VERY VERY busy.....

I think Seminole county which is around Orlando is the week before Easter and I know that Spring Break here is the week before Easter. I hope that you have a good trip!

That is when our spring break is too. We are hoping that the convenient location of the Poly will make the crowds more tolerable by being able to get back and forth to the resort easily.

Osceola County (Kissimmee/St Cloud area) is off the first week in April
Orange County (Orlando) is off in Mid March (12-16)
Polk County (Lakeland/Winter Haven) is off in late March 26 to 30

Usually Floridians try to stay away from the parks during Spring break. Many have Season passes and Spring break period is blacked out.

Don't forget that Disney has blocks of rooms for the various cyber travel sites let alone TAs, Triple A, etc so don't get so far ahead of yourself worrying and fretting. I would strongly urge you to call CRO directly rather than going by their website to see what information you are able to glean.

Even if it is busy as long as you plan accordingly you'll be fine. Don't obsess on how many schools are out and when. You have made enough trips to know exactly what your MUST-DO list is and go from there. The Poly is a gorgeous resort with a very cool volcano pool as well as quiet pools to sit by sipping catawba with an umbrella in it should the parks get too much to handle. You could also go down to the cabana and rent a mouse to frolick on Bay Lake. You are paying top dollar for one of the best resorts on property. Take advantage of it. There are lots of other amenities at the Poly. Take a moment to peruse tikiman2001 for more ideas if you haven't done so already.
