We'll be staying at ASMo on our upcoming trip. Location-wise, we're thinking about the Mighty Ducks section (quiet, close to parking lot). HOWEVER, this huge hockey mask looks, well, CREEPY!!!! It reminds me of those Halloween movies (which scared the heck out of me!!!). So, those of you who have been there: Is it really that scary-looking? What do you think?
My DH and I stayed in the Mighty Ducks section on our honeymoon! In my opinion, the mask is not that scary. At night, it looked pretty cool with the lights. As far as location goes, we loved it. The quiet pool was wonderful in the evenings. We enjoyed walking through the Dalmations section in the mornings to get to the food court.
The disadvantages to the Mighty Ducks section...a decent walk to the store/food court/buses.
Advantages..a lot quieter, close to parking, and also close to ASMU drop off point. Get off there and walk accross the driveway to your room. Much closer at the end of a long day! Laundry room is right near the pool.
We stayed there this past June & loved it. The mask does look cool at night.

Movies in the Mighty Ducks section has been my favorite place to stay so far even above the moderate POFQ (although that was nice). My dd plays Ice Hockey and we are all hockey lovers in my house (you have to really love hockey to be a Flyers fan this season ) so it was a no brainer as to which bldg we would request. The pool is great and at the end of the night when leaving the parks check to see which bus line is shorter (movies or music) and pick that bus since the walk from the music bus stop is probably shorter than the walk from the movies bus stop to your room.
