Question WDW Bus Transportation - Moderate hotels

Would like any information on the bus transportation to and from the parks at all the moderate hotels. I can't deside on which resorts because they all seem equal except for the theme. For us we don't mind the WDW transportation but we do want something that runs pretty often and is convienent.

Is there any web site or information on the bus routes?
Let me know your thoughts on the bus service!

Thanks,
Donna

All of the resorts run their buses/boats on a pretty consistent basis. The moderates all have bus service exclusive to the resort, with the exception of POFQ & POR. They are within walking distance of each other and share the bus/boat runs; usually stopping at POFQ first and then POR. You may end up standing more often when coming from POR than you would from POFQ.

We have stayed at both POR and CSR. We have enjoyed both, but thought the bus service was better at CSR. It wasn't so much the timeliness of the service, as it was the number of guests on the buses. This was probably due to CSR also being a convention center. While many of the guests were attending their conferences, fewer people were travelling to & from the resort.

We wouldn't hesitiate to stay at either resort. Hopefully others will come along to tell you about their experiences, including CBR and POFQ

Hope this helps!

I never had to wait long for a bus going to the parks from CBR. Even during Easter vacation the buses were quite punctual. Now leaving the Magic Kingdom............. that is another story all together!

We stayed at CBR in '04, and the buses were very good. Not a very long wait, and usually not crowded. The buses at CBR do service all of the "Islands" though, and sometimes you will make several stops before leaving the resort grounds.

I have done POR/PPFQ and CBR and found the bus service to be fine at all of them.

I haven't stayed in the moderates recently, but my husband's Aunt, Uncle and cousin stay at POFQ every year. They love it, swear by it - it's become their Disney Home.

I've stayed at POFQ and CSR. FQ is my moderate "home". I like the bus service there because they pick you up first, and drop you off first. It sometimes get tiring having to hit all the POR stops, but at least you are almost guaranteed a seat. (A lot of times, people getting picked up near the mansions at POR would have to stand.) And all the other moderates have about 4 bus stops, so you'd be visiting many stops no matter what. In the morning, if the bus fills up it will go directly to the park and you don't have to make any other stops. POFQ / POR also have the added bonus of a boatride to DTD. It is such a nice, relaxing ride. It helps you unwind. I had the worst luck at CSR with the bus service. I was there for 5 days once, and waited forever my whole stay. Maybe it was because I tried to board near the main lobby. I've heard other people say the bus service is great. I can understand 1 or 2 bad days, but every day was bad for me. (I saw 4 AKL buses go by before a CSR bus finally showed up at MK. ) For some reason this resort just didn't do it for me. I know the bus service is partly responsible for that feeling. It's a beautiful resort, but I don't like that it is so spread out.
