Concierge advantages?

Just curious as to what the benefits would be to staying on a concierge level?
We all have to make our own ADR's, and organize our parks days, so what exactly is the difference from the standard rooms? much!

From the WDW website for the GF:

Concierge service includes personalized front desk and guest services. It also has a lounge with Continental breakfast, midday snacks, and afternoon tea.

I think that they may have also.

I am staying with the poor people in the Garden View. No Grey Poupon for me.

We travel at Christmas, so that isn't even on my radar, lol! That type of room didn't exist to my knowledge last time we travelled to WDW (2001), and I mainly want to know what the deal is. Pure curiosity!

The club level at the deluxe resorts just provides some extra services - they will make your ADR's for you - they have an entire pre-planning itinerary department. They'll contact you for your plans before your trip - and spend their time trying to get you those ADRs and activity plans or tickets, so you don't have to.

You also get access to a private lounge area - with TVs and games for the little ones - and access to drinks, including adult beverages, and snacks at different times throughout the day.

Just lots of extra little touches to make your vacation easier. For example, if you buy something in the park and are staying club level, you don't have to schlep down to the gift shop to pick it up. The concierge will place it in your room as soon as it arrives.

to me, the following two items are extremely invaluable: the in-room delivery of park purchases and the ability to purchase the Wildlife Discovery Excursion. If you don't take advantage of that while staying club level, you're completely wasting your money if you ask me.

As far as the other amenities go, just research them before you count on them. the quality of such amenities and hours of availability will vary between resorts

I've heard that if you have smaller children, and therefore, make more frequent stops to the resort for rests and naps, just the money you save on refreshments by taking advantage of the refreshments at concierge can make up the price difference itself!

We didn't have small kids with us. Just DH & I. Just the amount of adult beverages we drank while watching the football playoffs compared to what we would have paid at ESPN was worth it. (they kept the appetizers & drinks out a little longer until the games were over).
DH also went to get me bottled water to take my meds, and the staff sent him back with a full large bottle of Evian. (I expected him to return with a glass). Then Mousekeeping kept a full bottle in the room everyday after that.

And when we changed our minds on ADR's, they always got us the replacement ressie.

We had concierge level at the Polyinesian on our honeymoon. I have to say that we enjoyed it. We had a light breakfast every morning before heading out. One night we wanted to order a bottle of wine, and room service was so busy we couldn't get through on the phones. DH walked down to the concierge and came back with a bottle of wine and glasses (no charge). They also booked special meals for us. (This was long before the dining plan existed.) We did so much shopping on our trip, they also shipped pachages home for us. Yeah!!! Spoil Me!!!

I've never heard of this, what is it Brad? We're planning on doing concierge for our 10th Anniversary, and are looking for "different" things to do.

There's a lounge that serves some pretty tasty food at various points throughout the day, including breakfast, afternoon snacks, and dessert, along with coffee, tea, soda later in the day, and alcohol for the older kids. There is almost always a castmember hanging around to help you out with whatever you need- ADRs, dining advice, any other reservations you may need, and any ticket issues. Hope this helps!!
