Thanks to an awesome AP discount, my friend Wendy upgraded us to the Grand Floridian for our girls trip in March We'll be staying for 3 nights, Sugar Loaf Key Concierge!
So tell me everything! Has anyone stayed at the concierge level in the Sugar Loaf Key building? If so, any pictures would be awesome! Basically, I'd love to hear everything about the Grand Floridian! I'm so excited!!!
I´ve never stayed at GF! But we´ve dinner there and found the place very special!!!
You will love it!!! CL is great (I´ve been at both AKL and Poly) and after that experience you will never want to stay in a non-CL room!
Have a magical vacation
We stayed in the main GF building right after New Year's and club level was wonderful, very much worth the cost we thought.
Do check the continental breakfast the first morning you're there. We ate at the GF Cafe our first morning but had the continental breakfast every other day of our stay. It was that lavish and delicious, we thought, although the quality of the urned coffee was variable. A day or two, it tasted scorched as if kept on a warmer too long.
The above is the link to the thread where I listed what all was typically offered for continental breakfast. I'm drooling just recalling several favorites.

Reason: add link
Oh, and be sure to hit the shops in the main building even if you're only looking as I often was. Basin White's many-scented soaps are so colorful and interesting to browse.
I absolutely WILL book afternoon tea next time we're there. I'm still kicking myself that we didn't do that this time.
Even though most guests are casually dressed, I'd suggest taking heels and one nice dress (even a crushable, easily packed hat, too) for afternoon tea. I think you'll feel more "ladies taking tea" if you do. But then, I enjoy getting in costume, and all of you may prefer being comfortably dressed.

We stayed at the GF but in the Boca Chica bldg. We love the GF and it's so
relaxing to sit by the fountain and watch the people go by. The musical group
that plays in the lobby in the afternoon is great and it's nice to sit and have a
drink and listen to them. The shops are very nice and we LOVED the GF Cafe
for breakfast and dinner. Good food, relaxed time and great service.
Congrats!! We stayed at the GF for our 10 year Anniversary and had a magical time! Everything is close no matter where you stay. You have to go to Narcoossee's the food there is delish!!! Have a great time!!
We have stayed in Sugar Loaf and Royal Palm Club. The biggest plus if definately the concierge lounge....great snacks! We found the huge selection at breakfast to be very efficient instead of having to go stand in line or have a sit down breakfast when we wanted to get going early. As someone here already posted...it is well worth the price. I have some pictures in my Trip Report,(link listed below), of some of the lounge food assortments if you're interested. The pictures are from the main building lounge but there is NO DIFFERENCE between the refreshments offered in the two lounges.
