Pop Century-Construction Noises?

My family and I will be staying at the Pop in Jan, and I have a question about the Art of Animation construction project. I've been searching previous posts and haven't found an answer, so at the risk of being redundant, I thought I'd post, myself. Has anyone who's stayed at the Pop recently experienced any problems with noise or anything else from the construction across the lake (Art of Animation)? If so, should I try to request rooms away from that area? We've booked preferred (DH loves the added convenience) and we stayed in the 60's building 4, 4th floor last April. I don't remember the room number (if I searched my notes, I probably could find it!), but we were facing the wading pool. Anyway, we really liked the building and floor, although I think I would have preferred the back of our building which faces the lake. Any thoughts?

We stayed at POP last month, our room was in the 50's building, fourth floor, facing the lake. I heard nothing during our stay, and I am a very light sleeper and sleep in on vacations! There is construction going on and some of the 50's parking lot was being used for equipment and such, but the noise was never an issue! I think you should be fine and hope you have a great vacation!!

I was at Pop in mid October and while our room wasn't overlooking the lake, I never heard any noise whenever I was outside. I'll be back at Pop in a couple of weeks and I will certainly respond to this post again if there is any noise from the construction area.

Could you also let us know whats going on across the lake? Any buildings going up yet? Maybe some pictures?

Brent

......we were at POP last week of Aug into 1st week of Sept...and heard absolutely ZERO noise from across the lake. I was curious to see if they were actually doing construction...and yes, they were in full swing. I think the really niosy construction tasks like driving piles for the foundations...are completed (I think they are using the existing piles / foundations from the earlier planned buildings).

I was at Pop in mid October in the 70s section overlooking the lake and heard nothing. It was very quiet.

Good to know as I had forgotten about the renovations across the lake!
