Well, we finally arrived. After a white knuckle (in some spots) drive to Seattle, then flight out on Tues AM. Delayed in Denver for mechanical problems. Was supposed to land at MCO by 4:10, but didn't land till close to 6pm!

DME was quick. Bus was there, and within 3 min was loading. We checked into WL, had a free upgrade to Courtyard view, woohoo!

I've never complained or had reason to esp with a free upgrade. But......I walked into our room and the heating/airconditioner unit was so loud, I thought upgrade or no, I can't stand a week of that racket. So very apologetic went down to the front desk and asked if I could have another room. I felt so bad. CM was great, and found me another room 3 doors down.

View is wonderful, of inner courtyard. Tonight we watched the EWP from the balcony.

On arrival night we did nip quickly into MK for a Cosmic Ray Burger, then rode Space Mtn, & Buzz. The park was empty. Walked on both!

Today MK had Morning EMH, so we got moving. Was supposed to be AK EMH, but everything is switched around this week because of Pres. Obama's visit to MK tomorrow. MK will be the park to avoid for sure.
Today was very low crowds. Nothing over 10 min wait. I think the last time I saw MK so empty was during The Million Dreams year. I laughed because we go a dream FP for MK, but everything was walk on anyway!

Afternoon turned cold & rainy It's supposed to warm up.

Tomorrow it's AK for us in the morning, and to keep people away from MK, they are having P.M. EMH at both DHS till 10, with special Fireworks show, and midnight at EP. lol!
So I guess we'll check that out tomorrow night

Oh, and WL pool is closed till Friday, if anyone has a stay this week.

Thanks for the report so far! Glad you made it safely! Here's hoping the weather shapes up a bit... Should be interesting (if inconvenient) to see/feel the hoopla of the president on property even if it doesn't directly affect you! Hope you have a marvelous rest of your trip!

Hope the weather warms up for you! It might be interesting to go to MK tomorrow. I bet it will be walk on for a lot of rides since so many are avioding it for the Presidents visit. It might be worth the hassel of extra security Have a great trip!

Last year Daughter had the same issue with the room they had at WLV only thing was it was full house and no where else to move her to. After 2 attempts to fix it they had to replace the whole unit.

live update! Thurs AK was great. Again, low crowds, we got FP and rode Safari, same with EE, but we really didn't need EE FPs! Line was never over 20 min standby. We ended up riding 3x! Went to the special DHS evening fireworks, they were spectacular! Went on Star Tours 5 times, lol. I was determined to get the water scene! Everything was walk on. Later the line lessened for TSMM, and was able to do that twice.

Friday we went to DHS for the day. Noticed a lot of flags But we managed to avoid the tour groups till afternoon FP for TSMM. I never saw the FP line go outside of the building, ugh. It was the last thing we were doing before leaving for our afternoon break. Other then that, waits were all under 20 min.
After our afternoon break, we headed to Epcot EMH. Again, evrything we wanted to ride was low wait times. Even got to go on Sorin and TT.

Weather is starting to improve. Afternoon temps are quite nice. And the WL pool & hot tubs are back open!

Today was the warmest yet! We went back to Epcot for the day. Again managed to avoid the Flag people Had the Pizza at Via Napoli yum. Dinner at Tangerine Cafe. Evening we stayed put at WL. I had a nice soak in the hot tub and watched the Water parade from balcony.

Tomorrow is our last park day, going to AK for morning, have an afternoon break and then dinner at Kona, and then evening EMH at MK.

Our next 2 days after that are non park stuff. DTD, and a resort day.

I've been using the free Park Crowd Calendar from Free WDW Free Disney World Crowd Calendars, Ride Reviews, Resort Reviews, Restaurant Reviews, and More and I think it's been pretty good. A little experiment, usually I go by Touringplans.com Crowd calendar. But I think this one is pretty decent.
