Has anyone stayed at boarddwalk villa ,and got the prefered or boardwalk views? And was it worth the extra points as a Dvc member? Thanks for any feedback , planning a vacation this september..
We've done both. Like everything else, it really depends on the person and how much time you spend in the room. If you are just there to sleep, not really worth it IMHO. The BW rooms are great to enjoy some peaceful people watching time
BWVs is my DVC home and I love it. I have stayed in different locations there, the quiet pool...the theme pool and the boardwalk view. I love the boardwalk view and usually request it. We just stayed there in September with a boardwalk view. Our room was right over the general store and was great...It was the second time we had this room and we were thrilled when we checked in. The view is amazing.....Y & B across the lake...the "friendships" crossing and docking....sunrises and sunsets....watching the "night-time entertainment", fireworks.....and the different "stages" of the boardwalk. I am an early riser and I love to see the boardwalk clean and quiet and "deserted".....with an occassional "runner"...it is so peaceful.......then to compare it to the "hussle bussle" of night life...it is amazing....I take lots of photoes every time from my balcony because it's just so beautiful and special to me....it is worth the extra points for me....September was great.....good luck with your planning.
I have stayed with a view of the quiet pool, and also a boardwalk view. I liked both. The problem with the Boardwalk View was we have kids...they noise on the Boardwalk on a Friday/Saturday night can go on until VERY Late. We are not early to bed...usually around 11, but we were all awoken around 230am both nights. Security was escorting some loud/drunk guests out of the night club.
The views of the Boardwalk view are amazing...especially in the early evening.
We liked the quiet pool view too though, very peaceful.
I really don't think you can go wrong, for us, we would probably go for the Quiet view next time...just because of the noise aspect.
