How early do u leave from POR to make it to Rope Drop or early ressies?

We are staying POR preferred room in late Aug. Just wondering what time we should catch the bus to get to all the parks? For one day we have 8:30am ressies at Epcot and another we have 9 am ressies for Pirates League at Mk. Then 1 reg hours day at Mk, Epcot, AK, and HS. No extra early morning days, all open at 9am. Our first trip! We are driving so we could drive to Epcot if neede but prefer to not drive if not necessary.

When we stayed at POR I found that we needed to give it 45 minutes. I was also there during a slow time. It was the week after Jersey week in Nov and crowds were slim.

We had an 8:00 AM breakfast ressie on a recent trip, and I was worried about being able to get there on Disney transport, since the park didn't open until 9:00. The concierge told me that buses started running at 6:30. We had no trouble using Disney transportation. It was smooth sailing. I think we were at the bus stop at 7:00 and made it in plenty of time for our breakfast. Just check with your concierge desk to firm up the time you should plan for to get to your meals.

Have fun!

When we stayed at POR, we were out the door of our room an hour before we wanted to be somewhere. This gave us plenty of time and we found that often we arrived early, but it was great not having to worry if a bus didn't come, etc.

Have a magical trip!

I agree with the others. We tried to give ourselves about 1 hour in the morning to get to our destination. We also wanted to make sure we were able to sit on the bus so we tried to get to the bus stop before it got too crowded. We usually tried to leave our room about 8am to get to the park by 9am.

In the mornings we try to be at the bus stop by 8:15 for rope drop. We stay in the mansion section so use either the North or East Depot. I prefer them to the crowded main depot.

Thanks!! Another quick question..... How early do the parks let you on if you have early ressies? Can I get in at 8:30 when I have ressies at 9:10 at Pirates League? Or in at 8:00 for 8:30 ressies for Storybook dining at Epcot? Just wondering if I get there too early can I walk around the park and take pics!

If your ressie is BEFORE normal operating hours, they will let you in early. So, getting into Epcot around 8am for an 8:30am Akershus ressie is pretty much a given (especially since you have to walk over there). But if your PL ressies is at 9:10am and the park opens at 9am, I wouldn't expect to be let in early.

I think I'll be in the Mansions too ( IDK, in a Royal Guest Room) doesn't the bus stop at all the internal stops and then head to a park? Does the bus also stop at other resorts too?

POR shares buses with POFQ. In my experience, POFQ is picked up first and then they go through the POR bus stops. Same for dropping off, POFQ is usually dropped off first (I think the exception is the DTD bus, Riverside was dropped off first). So, while you will often share a bus with POFQ, you won't have to worry about the extra stop because they will have already been picked up.

Last time we were ther I remember leaving to Epcot and MK about an hour prior to breakfast. We got to MK a little early, but had a few minutes to read prior to the opening of Akershus, when my Daughter was Princess of the day.

If you have a single child it is best to try to get a little early, as they take the earlier single children to be princess of the day

They told us they don't offer these moments to larger families to avoid sibling rivalry
