Beach club "club level"

Anyone have any experience with the club level at the Beach Club? We are staying for the first time and didn't really know what to expect. Food options, times, etc... We are checking in tomorrow for 4 nights. So excited!!

Thanks for any advice!!

Yes! It was wonderful. CL staff was so nice. Always greeted us coming and going, and was so nice to my daughter, always asking her what her plans for the day were, or how she liked her day. They noticed how much we enjoyed the taffy they have in a bowl at the CL desk, and on our last day as we were leaving, they gave us a big bag of it
I can't remember times- it was last Aug, lol.
But Continental Breakfast. Love the coffee machine During the day they just have snacks (chips which were addictive, and trail mix, etc) and pop, lemonade, ice tea, coffee, and Beer and Wine by request.

Late afternoon Appies, Beer, Wine, Desserts, evening cordials.

I was scheduled to stay Club Level at the Beach Club from August 31, 2011 - September 4, 2011 and ended up switching to the Boardwalk Inn for the remainder on September 1, 2011 because the Beach Club was that horrible.

One word to describe their Club Level lounge is claustrophobic because it's that small and not enough tables for the amount of Club Level rooms they have. Plus it's even worse when they open the doors to it at 5:00 PM causing a stampede of guests getting their limited number of tables and I saw someone personally take up 3 tables for members of their family, who weren't even there.

As for their Cast Members the one who checked us in (Chris) made in my opinion a rude joke saying the best thing about the Boardwalk is that they face the Beach Club. He saw that we previously stayed there and thought he was being funny. Plus when we asked for Sprite Zero some of their other Cast Members looked so pissed that they had to walk a few feet to their stock room and looking for it. Finally the Cast Members who work in the lounge stand there looking at everyone waiting to clear plates and etc off the tables (because they don't have a table for it like other CL lounges) and it wasn't a great feeling knowing we were being watched.

Besides all that the Beach Club was going through some renovations outside and I remember hearing drilling and etc while I was in my room. I knew in advance that would be going on, however everyone told me it would have been completed and it was not.

As for Stormalong Bay can you say overated. I can't see what people find so great about it. The whole area is way to big and am I supposed to be impressed that it has sand inside the pool.

I have to say our family loves everything about the BC! It's a wonderful atmosphere and we love the proximity to EPCOT and HS. We have never stayed CL but I don't think you could go wrong at BC!

The lounge is smaller than some other resorts, but we still enjoyed it very much. I thought the food was good and the CMs were friendly enough, though perhaps a bit less so than at some of the other resorts where we've stayed club level.

Our biggest "complaint" was that the halls at BC are so long that it was a hike from our room to the lounge! But that's obviously not a big enough deal for me to not recommend the resort to you.

Eileen may or may not have gotten lost one night trying to find our room down one of those longs halls. Of course, if memory serves me . . . she may have been on the wrong floor.

Shaaaaadup, you!

One thing I can say for all of the CL lounges, the pink wine is plentiful. (Which explains why I was on the wrong floor.)

Yes that is a perk to staying on the concierge floors...free booze!

We have pretty much stayed on concierge most of our times down to Disney....and no matter which one you stay at, it seems that the snacks are the same. Breakfast is usually some donuts, banana bread or such, cereal and I know that from time to time they did something warm like oatmeal or grits. Usually there were some fruits and such too. Snack time was something small like goldfish crackers, and gummie worms and cookies. Then came wine cheese and crackers, cut vegetables and usually a warm appetizer like mini meatballs or such and then last cordials of mini desserts like tarts and such. For drinks there is all you can drink soda, water, coffee, tea, beer, wine, cordials, lemonade and a machine that can do hot chocolate, lattes and such. Ahhh I love conciege just for the food lol!

I stayed BC CL with my son (15) and myself in Feb 2011. We weren't wowed by the BC, the CL lounge was very small, I didn't spend time relaxing in it like I did when we stayed CL at AKL in 2008/ & 2009. We love AKL CL so much, we thought about swiching back there in 2011, but since our stay at the BC was only 4 more nights, we decided to suck it up and stay. It is not my favourite CL , I don't hate it, I just don't feel at home there. I am looking forward to my first POLY CL stay this fall, I hope I love it as much as we loved AKL CL

Hi MammaKat, I wasn't wowed by BC CL....I found the lounge very small. The food offerings where nice, the cms nice, but I didn't get to utilize the CL lounge to relax as I did at AKL. I found BC ok....but not my favourite resort. I LOVE AKL CL. I am staying at the POLY CL for my first time this Oct, and am looking forward to experiencing this new CL you may love the BC....everyone has a different view about what's important to them at a resort. I really like to use the lounge as an extension to our room and I loved the ambience and comfort of AKL. BC is so very small....only one couch right as you enter, and a few tables.....not the most relaxing lounge I've been in.

Like I said before the one night I was in the BC CL lounge I saw someone take up 3 tables for his family who wasn't even there at that time. So considering it's small size when a guest does that it can't be good.

Plus the fact that their Cast Members who clear the tables just stand there looking at you doesn't make for a relaxing atmosphere.

We just came back to the YC and I was dissapointed! We have pretty much stayed there since 2000 and each year it keeps getting worse. The selections have gotten fewer of foods....the staff is soemthing to be said for. One of them kicked out two kids cuz they came in to get a quick snack after coming in from the pool and told them that they couldnt come in until they were fully dressed! While I know that its a "policy", I will defend the kids and say that they had flippies and cover ups on, so for me it was no big deal IMHO. Before there used to be a nice spread of desserts for nighttime, now you get two. Three if they were feeling generous. We are supposed to go back in November for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon and we are now debating if we should stay on concierge floor anymore! For what you get lately, its not worth the deal!

If you ever do decide to try Club Level again have you thought about the Boardwalk Inn? I have stayed Club Level there 4 times August 2010 and this coming August will be my 5th time staying there. Anyway their Club Level Cast Members are in my opinion the frinedliest set of people you will ever meet and a major reason why I enjoy staying there. Plus when it comes to the food offerings they put out a fair amount everynight and I never seen them have any attitudes like you mentioned seeing on the ones at the Yacht Club.
