I just can't decide where to stay! Been to WDW many, many times. We usually stay at BC Or BW. Taking my teenage daughter and a friend (who's never been!) on 4 day trip. Do we stay at BC(great pool!), Poly("authentically Disney" but how are the rooms?) or GF(never stayed there). We keep going back and forth and cant decide! Trip will be early June, so I need to figure this out very soon! Any opinions are appreciated.
We love Poly. It's really laid back, we love the tropical feel.
I do like the rooms at GF, but I don't really like the resort itself.
Look at the resorts on the internet - the lobbies, rooms, pools, etc. and remember - you're only going to be there for 4 days. What parks do you think you'll be spending more time at? That could determine where you stay. If you're thinking EPCOT and DHS, I'd go with one of those resorts. MK - Poly, GF, or maybe Cont., since it's an easy walk to MK and a monorail ride to TTC.
ooooo, hard decision! Poly does have the largest rooms, with day bed, we stayed GV in Tokelau, and loved that longhouse- all rooms have balconies, right next to quiet pool, quick walk along beach path to main pool, close to walking path to TTC for Epcot monorail, and also close to GCH. So you have good transp to 2 parks, MK & Epcot. And I love watching Wished on the Poly Beach. Cool Volcano pool.
BC of course has SAB, nice bright rooms, wonderful resort, walk to Epcot or DHS, depending on weather. In Aug, they may prefer to boat to DHS Near Boardwalk entertainment, although I must admit, if we were at BC at night we were in SAB rather then watching entertainers on the Boardwalk.
No bad choice here! I always find it hard deciding which resort to stay at. I like them all for different things.
Beach Club or Boardwalk because of the proximity to Epcot and DHS. The pool at BC rocks as you already know, plus BC has that summertime feel all year round...I think teenage girls would love it and its walking distance to the World Showcase area of Epcot 5 minutes from your room.

This is a great point, if you are just going to be hanging by the pool BC would be 1st choice but if you are going to do parks and the pools I think any if your choices would be great. GF has 2 great pools, Poly pool is awesome especially with the view of the castle. Out of all of them though I would vote for the Poly w/ the monorail access, great views of MK, nice pool and you also have Ohana's which is a great dining choice IMO :-)
I haven't stayed at BC but I love both BC and Poly. Why dThe on't you have your daughter's friend check out the photos of each and see which one she and your daughter favor. Each of the resorts have pros and cons.
Poly rooms are big, but the bathroom is dark and the vanity area is in the traditional bathroom (you'll have to determine if this would work with 2 teenage girls - but I think there is another mirror and outlet in the room). Also, no hot tub (aka spa). The monorail and walk to TTC can't be beat, and the grounds are beautiful.
I love the GF. Some people claim it has a stuffy feel, but I've never found that. It's bright and lovely and has some wonderful restaurants. Plus, the quick service place is open 24hrs. Both pools are quite lovely.
I don't think that you can go wrong with any of the Disney Deluxe resorts. If you can afford the splurge, you might want to consider staying CL - - the girls would probably enjoy having access to the lounge area.

Thank you all for your thoughts and comments! They echoed many of mine and gave me more to think about. We have decided to stay at the Poly, for a change of pace from the Epcot resorts. I love the light and brightness of GF and although the dark feel at the Poly slightly concerns me, I am thinking this will be a real authentic Disney feeling resort. I am also thinking we will spend a lot of time in the parks this trip and the Poly has great transportation options. Should be interesting! Thanks again for everyone's opinions. Now, on to working on dining reservations!!

I would vote Poly from your choices too! Be sure to check out Kona Cafe there if you haven't; fabulous for any meal!! Happy planning, choosing our dining is always my favorite part of planning!

I love the Poly! Such a nice vacation-y feel to it. "Wishes" on the beach, Kona coffee in the morning, monorail, great pool, welcome leis, large rooms with daybed; love it all!
