So we just made our reservation to stay at BLT next Jan 13'. We are not DVC members but we are staying in a 2 bedroom Bay Lake view suite. So we are interested in the best spot to see the fireworks when we're at the hotel. I know there is the bridge, California Grill and possibly our room but I doubt it. We also saw that on the 4th floor at the Contemp. Any other viewing spots for the fireworks around the 2 hotels? Thanks for any input

I'd definitely go for a meal at the California Grill, as that's one of our favourite restaurants on property. However, the view from the 4th floor balcony is very nice as well.
You are not a DVC member, however are you renting DVC points for your stay from a member? If so, you will be able to go to the Top of the World Lounge, located on the top floor of Bay Lake Tower. It is a very nice lounge where drinks and light refreshments are served, and the views are amazing. In my experience, the crowds at TOTWL are surprisingly light, even at fireworks time.
