My son and I will be in POR in 102 days . We will be spending a few days enjoying the resort and would like to rent one of the Sea Raycer boats one day. I remember the cost but my son insists he will be old enough to drive one (he is 14). Does anyone know the age allowed to drive the boat? I know when he was 12 and we were there that they wouldn't let him drive the surrey bikes....
Also a question regarding mouse keeping tips. I have always tipped the mousekeeper a dollar per person staying in the room....but is that too cheap? We arent messy and I tip, daily and then when we check out I leave a bigger tip.....what is the general consensus everyone?
The Unofficial Port Orleans website is a wealth of information and has this to say about boat and bike rentals: •In order to rent watercraft, a guest must be at least 18 years of age and present a Walt Disney World Resort ID or valid driver’s license
Actually he is correct but I hope he is tall enough. You will be responsible for him and will have to sign a release form. They have a weight limit as well. Here is the information from the above site. You can call the hotel for verification but the above linked site is usually pretty accurate,
Quote:
All drivers 18 years of age or older must provide valid ID with birth date
All drivers under the age of 18 will be required to have a parent or legal guardian sign a release form
Guests must be at least 12 years old and at least 5 feet tall to drive a Sea Raycer by Sea RayŽ
There is a maximum combined weight of 320 lbs permitted for a Sea Raycer by Sea RayŽ

Mom calls to check on me and reminded me to pay the gardener. I love her so much.
Disneyland was fun with flag retreat and pickles. I have a home here, thank you. GAC is NOT a "front of the line pass".
She is gone but keeping signature. Laundry is getting done. My purpose in life is to help poor people in FL. Farewell, will miss you.

Ah, Thanks for clarifying that. I didn't read far enough to note that under 18 can drive the watercraft, but just cannot rent it.

Thanks
$1 per person per day is what we do

Well, one good thing, the SeaRaycers on the river don't go as fast as the ones on Bay Lake You just have to be careful of the ferry traffic along the river.
We tip $1 a day per person too. I don't necessarily leave a larger tip the last day, because it may not be the same mousekeeper that cleaned your room the rest of the time. She may just have gotten on shift that day. So I still leave the $1 per person, unless i know for sure it's the same mousekeeper our last day.
