Question All Star Resorts / or Pop

Which resort would you choose? for a Solo stay?
All Star Movies
All Star Sports
or
Pop

Excluding Music because I already stayed there.

TIA

I would have chosen Music....

PopC will be a bit more expensive than the All Stars, so if you want to save money, I'd go with Movies.

I like AS Sports. We drive but if you're using the bus system, Sports is first.

We're All Star fans...and always stay at Music. But Movies seems to attract more families with kids and Sports more families with teens (just an observation). No matter which AS you choose, you can use the facilities at all three.

Pop is a little pricier, but not much. I would stay there first, but if you're trying to economize, I'd go for Movies over Sports. JMO

When are you going? AS Sports's main pool is getting ready to be clsoed for rehab. If you don;t care about a pool, there might be fewer guests there during that time.

If I could afford it and AS Music was off the table, I would choose either Pop or Art of Animation Little Mermaid/standard room myself. I think AoA LM room is $10 more per night than Pop, which would make it $10 more per night than All Stars.

Pop all the way. The All Stars attract large groups, especially young groups. Pop is miles above the All Stars in my opinion. You won't share a bus and the food court is huge.

I've never stayed at the All Stars, but I have stayed at Pop twice and really enjoyed it both times. They have a great food court and I especially enjoyed the fact that the bus wasn't shared with any other resorts.

Bus sharing: The All Stars are a larger resort than POP, so they have three stops, just as all larger resorts do. Dedicated buses are sent to each resort during rush times. The resorts are only separated by parking areas, so it is not like you are driving a couple of miles. Bus "sharing" has only been an issue at Deluxe resorts, in my experience.

Food court: POP's food court may be larger and newer, but the All Stars have 3 food courts, none of which have a shop attached, which makes it easier to navigate. We stay at Music but sometimes eat at Movies. Plus the last McD's on property - open late - is right outside the All Star security gates.

Large groups: Yes, at certain times of year, but large groups of people are large groups of people, whether they come four in a car, or 40 in a bus. Other resorts also host groups, so we don't let this be a deciding factor in choosing Music again and again for comfort, price, and theming.

All of Pop is Classic Years. What is now Art of Animation was supposed to be the Legendary Years part of Pop Century Resort, but that plan was abandoned after attendance dropped in the aftermath of 9/11. The current Pop Century Resort is themed around the decades of 1950s through 1990s.

If you've never visited there, you'll really enjoy it.

We stayed in the 50s building both trips to Pop and really enjoyed it. I don't even think we had a preferred room and it was still a short walk away from the main building and bus stops (FYI in case that kind of thing is important to you).
