Mousekeeping/turndown service in Villas (non-DVC members)

Hi again,

I just wanted to clarify something. If we (we are not vacation club members) are staying at a Disney property villa (AKL in our case) will we have daily room cleaning and turndown service in our room?
We have never stayed in a Disney villa before, just the hotels so I just wanted to know what to expect.
Thanks for any info,
Marina

Are you staying on points? Or did you book thru Disney and are paying "cash" for the room? If you booked on DVC points you will not get daily mousekeeping but will get trash and towel service on day 4 and a full cleaning on day 8 (I think ). Basically, it doesn't matter if you're members or not but how you are paying for your room. If you are borrowing or renting DVC points, you will not get daily mousekeeping automatically. However, you can request it but know it is a fairly hefty fee to do so.

I've stayed cash in the Beach Club Villa. They come in and clean every day like a regular hotel room, but there was no turn down service. I'm not sure if you can request turn down service.

Yeah, I don't think turndown service is available, but they will service your room each day.

This was not in the villas, but in Jan when we were at the BC I asked upon check-in about turn-down service and the CM at the front desk looked at me like I requested a cage full of live chickens I guess they are not used to providing turn down service!

There is turn down service each evening in the club-level villas, but that's only if you are staying concierge.

Of all the DVC resorts, only AKV Jambo House has club level. Though I suppose it remains to be seen whether or not the new Grand Floridian Villas will.
