So, we have officially changed our resort ressie from AKL to Beach Club. We thought about doing a split stay, but decided that it would be time consuming and we just didn't want to do that. We are definitely excited about staying there since we havn't before. How did you guys like staying there?

I loved the Beach Club!!! Loved walking in to Epcot thru the International Gateway, loved Beaches and Cream, loved Stormalong Bay -there is something really cool about a sand bottom pool, loved Hurricane Hannah's, loved the lemon ice water in the lobby, loved the decor in the common areas and in the room.....you get the idea .
I do have one tip that I learned the hard way that might be useful to you. Make sure you know where your things are at the pool so you can get to them quickly. It is a fairly large pool complex and it is easy to lose track of where you put your stuff. Normally that wouldn't be an issue but we went during the summer and we were enjoying the pool when they cleared it due to lightening in the area. They ordered everyone off the pool deck and I couldn't find where I had left our things quickly enough (flip flops, bathing suit cover up, etc.) I had to leave the pool area and it was hours before I was able to retrieve my things due to the storm. Thankfully I had my room key with me in one of those waterproof containers you wear around your neck, but it just as easily could have been with my things.
We have stayed there once and it was very nice and being able to walk over to Epcot was great. We were there in Aug. and the pool was not open by the time we got back from the parks in the evening so we did not spend much time at the main pool.

Love the Magic of Disney Thanks Dad for our first 5 trips.
Love the Beach Club. We stayed there this past June and everything was great. So nice taking a boat to Hollywood Studios and walking to Epcot. We were in Epcot every other day because its so close we were just walking around each country.
