I am pretty excited - I just found out I got a room at BWV for October! It is a preferred studio. I need to know how/if it is possible to request a room - and which I should request...I WANT - I want a lot, warning but what I WANT is a view of Space Ship Earth and possibly some fireworks - might as well dream big...so does anyone here know if a) I can request certain rooms - my only other stay was in 2011 and I was at OKW. I called the resort and they put in my requests for me...b) which rooms, if any, can give me my dream (hey this is this place dreams come true, right?? c) can I call and request - like I did with my OKW requests, or does the DVC owner need to add that to my reservation?
I believe that the only rooms that can "see" EPCOT and fireworks are the Boardwalk view rooms, which are a special category in DVC. Unless you have this already booked, a "preferred" studio will only have a view of the pool, water, or grounds. The CM cannot change you to a Boardwalk view, since they will have already been fully booked (they go quickly!)
Since it sounds as if you are renting points, the DVC owner has to make any and all requests/changes for the room. If you call the resort directly with a reservation#, the CM "may" help you, but they shouldn't if you are not the owner. You can certainly request a particular room, but I'd be willing to bet that the chances will be slim. You might be able to get something "near an elevator" or "on a higher floor", but single room requests are doubtful. Good luck!!
