In a previous post that I posted about the difference between the 3 room views, I had a couple of people give me warnings about 4th floor rooms near the Whispering Canyon Cafe being very noisy and smoky. We will definately be looking for a room without a lot of noise (like pool, restaurants, etc.) I thought a Lodge view not facing the Villas would be the way to go, but one of the people who talked about her room being on the 4th floor near the Whispering Canyon Cafe said her room was a Lodge view. Can you guys give me suggestions on where I should request a view? One lady suggested a wing of the hotel. Thanks!

Basically because of the open layout of the lobby, the noise from Whispering Canyon does tend to "float up" and would most affect rooms who's doors open up around the lobby.

Our woods view room #4014 was in a wing, overlooked the otter pond, faced the Contemporary (which looks really neat at night thru the trees) and you could see some of the fireworks from Wishes. It wasn't too far down the wing and was still convenient to the elevators.
