TTC from Polynesian

Does anyone know if you can walk to the TTC from the Polynesian? If so, how long of a walk is it?

Re: TTC from Polynesian

From what I have read, some Longhouses at the Polynesian are very close to the TTC and all are in walking distance. We will be staying there for the first time this November.

Check out this great site for lots of info on the Polynesian including a map of the resort: Tikiman's site

Re: TTC from Polynesian

Thanks for the site. I found out you can walk to TTC. When going to Epcot, it seems this would be faster than riding the monorail all the way around to the TTC, then switching to the Epcot monorail.

Re: TTC from Polynesian

We stayed at Poly in June and walking to the TTC is much faster than waiting for a monrail. Granted, we seemed to have an unusually long wait the time we did the monorail to the TTC. Plus walking puts you more on your schedule, instead of trying to make sure you leave time for the monorail to make it all the way around.

Re: TTC from Polynesian

It is a lot faster to walk to the TTC then to take the monorail to it. If you are looking for convenience to the MK monorail and TTC, make sure to request a room in a longhouse that is located near both. During our trip in June, I made a similar request, and our room was in the Rarotonga building. This longhouse was convenient to the Great Ceremonial House, the pools, and the walkway to the TTC. Re: TTC from Polynesian

We just came back from the Poly. We stayed in the Hawaii building. It took us about 10 minutes to walk to the TTC unless we were lazy then I would say 15 minutes. The worse part of the walk is the ramp up to the Epcot monorail. But it is a real timesaver. Otherwise you are riding from the Poly through each hotel and the Magic Kingdom stop which is about 1/2 hour or more, then at the TTC you have to disembark that monorail, walk down the ramp and then back up the ramp to the Epcot Monorail. Trust me when I say its a hike if you take the Poly monorail. Plus it is a nice enjoyable walk. Lots of scenery and Tikki Men along the way. And at night it is really pretty with the torches all lit , plus hardly anyone goes that way so it is relaxing.
